I think its boring, better then nothing. Other companies have used that genre of advertising before. I believe xm or Sirius radio made a commercial that started out with a transistor radio to records to a-track to cassette tapes to cd to mp3/ipod to their own product. Not very original but again better then nothing. I still think that Apple and Verizon make killer Cell phone commercials. Maybe Sprint should try to steal some of their talent pool HA.:D

Great Idea. That would be freakin sweet! Just like my clear plexi glass case for my tower I built. Its all clear execpt the front bay area and rear or course.

I think this is a very good start. They're marketing the fact that it's the 1st 4G phone. After the phone is officially released, they can adjust their marketing strategy based on customer response.

Like some of you said, it's not very "original" or "flashy," but it gets the message across (e.g. 1st 4G phone).

After this, it's just a matter of what Sprint's marketing team does to follow-up and appeal to the masses.

Okay, I agree with you on the Pre.
Better then the Droid commercial? Thats ludicrous.

But people have there on opinion so.. I see and respect yours.
 
I'm trying to see what the last phone to fall before the evo is,but I'm watching the commercial on my pre. Can anybody tell? Should be an iphone.
 
For anyone looking to use the Evo as flashlight I found an app called LED Desire light. It even has a morse code mode and 3 diff brightness levels. I used my Touch Pro flash ALOT for a light. Those dual LEDS should be like headlights. Guy said it's made for the Desire but works great on his Evo.
 
<Finger up to my ear> THIS JUST IN LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, My BB connect has informed me that they had a meeting today about BB having an exclusive white EVO. Of course my next question was: Will it be available for purchase June 4th................Answer: We just found out today we don't know yet.

If you work @ BB and/or have a connect like myself please do a little digging(ask politely) and see what we can come up with.

HAHA, that made me LOL! I hope it's true too! But it better be available on Friday, cuz I'm not waiting!

I don't know... a clear back cover seems tacky to me. I'd buy a red cover though. I just don't think the clear cover with the red internals would look right.

Looks like a blackberry curve. But yeah it should have been an Iphone or even better, a Droid incredible.

As for the white EVO I could imagine it looking close to this

1 day, 0 hours, 32 minutes and 48 seconds until we can stop crying every night for not having this phone! Man it feels like we've all come such a long way. Glad I could have spent it with all you awesome guys, filling people in with the latest "scoop" and with your educated speculation. When we all get the EVO's we have to all promise not to forget each other!
 
didn't know where else to ask:

i have 2 pre-orders; 1 at RS, the other at BB. so far, the plan is to go to RS on friday. it's closer and i like the $20 thing.

my thought now is, can i use the other pre-order to get the evo for my wife? she's due for an upgrade and she has an instinkt now. can i use that pre-order to upgrade a different number than the one i reserved it for?

i'm not sure how much she'd appreciate it; she doesn't care too much for that stuff and hates it when i spend money, but video chat would be cool. right?

Well guys and girls, thank you for all the info, specs.,links and well everything thats all Supersonic/EVO. I have been reading the forums everyday for what seems like, well, forever. Now here I am 31 1/2 hours away from my preorder being in my hands, EVO!

Just wanted to say hi and thanks, Im sure I will have more questions than answers in the forums. Im not a total phone "geek", although my GF would dissagree. lol
Also, I wanted to make sure I have my name on the thread that lauched the first badass true EVO 4G thread................been waiting and reading here long enough.

11:30 on 6/4 cant come soon enough! Sorry but, screw car mount and BS, I just want the phone already. :D

Again thanks to TS, Clam, Hop, Bill, SHO..............all of yall for months of gut wrinching anticipation and wonderment. Less than 1 day now.............................
