[Official] Extended Batteries

I'm assuming the Hyperion version does not have NFC? It's not mentioned in the Amazon or eBay listing. I might buy the Anker battery and some screen protectors for Amazon to have them for whn VZW releases it, haha.

While the battery life on most smartphones is pretty poor, rather than have a fat battery and ugly cover, I just carry a spare charged battery. I need to use it about once a week.

Is there any reason why you wouldn't want to do that instead of using an extended battery?

Just buy a spare battery and change batteries if you run out. That's what I did with my S2 and that approach served me well for two years.

Did you buy a spare battery charger,or did u just put the batter in the phone and charge it?

I was able to get the Mungen (SP) Battery for my S3 that served me well. I was hoping Mugen or someone else will come out with one where I don't have to swap the covers or constantly change batteries. My Mugen battery gets me about 2 1/2 days verses barely 2 days with the original S3 battery. Its a small difference but it works for me.

I'm ordering an external battery pack.

Trent Battery Pack

Seems to me to be the best of both worlds. Phone stays slim, I can use conventional cases, and have more juice than an extended battery. I can also offer a bit of charge to others in a pinch. Just connect it once or twice during the day when not using the phone. They come in different capacities, some have two USB ports and can be used for both my phone and tablet.

I didn't bother. What I did was to charge the phone with the spare battery as soon as I got home and then swapped the batteries back before bed so the original battery would be fully charged by morning.

I have something similar as well as a spare battery. It can very very useful and is not device specific. I lent it to a lady on the train once who was in a flap because her battery had run out and she needed to call someone. It was nice to be able to help her and she was very grateful.

Im a iphone refugee and new to the world of removable power! im finding the life not lasting beyond early afternoon without having to charge from having my phone off charge from early morning.. im a general to medium user and switch between social networking and everyday use to prolonged gaming. i have all the gesture motions off and all other non essential (to me) things off but would like a extended battery.. im aware there will be lots of fakes flooding the market at somepoint so can anyone point me in the direction of a reputable online based seller?

Hi tphillips :hello:

I merged your post with the extended battery thread. You probably didn't see it because it was on page 3. :)

At least for me with the S3, I felt it fit better in my hand with the thicker form factor an extended battery provides.

For years I'd only use slim extended batteries. My main focus was all the different cases I had and didn't want to sacrifice them for battery life.

Now using the Zero Lemon 9300 (for N2) I won't lie--this thing is HUGE! There's only one case available (2 if you count you can get black OR white when you order the battery). This will be the battery I use when I'm out and not concern myself with swapping.

For those considering extended batteries I can't stress enough to either go with ZeroLemon, Anker, or Hyperion. They are a fraction of the cost of Mugen and you won't be disappointed.

Don't do it :).

An extended battery will make your phone a fat munter. Just get another battery and swap over when you are running out. That way your phone will stay slim and you will get the extended battery life you need.

May I know if using extended battery will affect the performance of the phone itself or are there any side effects on the phone?Heare some feedback that using extended battery pack will affect the phone.
But I really need to extend my battery life here. :(

We need more power!!!

I found this 3,500 mAh battery: Samsung Galaxy Galaxy S 4G (i9000) 3500 mAh Extended Life Battery - T-Mobile

I think something better may be out there. Consider this 7,000 mAh battery for the SIII: This 7000mAh Galaxy S III Battery Will Power your Phone Till The Cows Come Home, And It's Only $34

Does anyone have the skinny on extended batteries and cases to protect the phones with extended batteries?

It is a battery case, not just extended battery or + back cover.
I don't find any battery case for S4 except Chinese brands. I personally don't use battery case but do feel like I need it sometimes when I go out of town.

Anyone have experience with anker batteries? I bought one recently but haven't been able to use it since my S4 doesn't come in until Wednesday from Verizon

I've only heard good things about them. If only they had a 3000+ mAh battery for the E4GT :(

3 x 3000mAh Battery US Wall USB Charger for Samsung Galaxy S4 4 IV I9500 | eBay

how about these? 3x batteries, 3000mah , apparently can be used with the stock battery case.

only $13 for 3

3250mah with apparently using stock battery case.

The batteries touting much higher mah in the same size usually are no better than stock battery out worse. If the battery could last that long, Samsung would have probably made the battery even thinner.

I beg to differ. My Mugen battery for my s3 added about 1/2 to 3/4's of a day to my usage life.
