am I seeing things wrong...or is the market place the old one after the update? or is an updated one? lol. hrm. IDC much, either one is cool w/ me. just found it odd that it went back.
Mine is back to the old market as well, not sure why. Hopefully it'll re-download the new market in the next day or two.
*EDIT* The first time I went to the Marketplace after the update it was the old style, the next tiem (maybe 2 hours later?) it was back to the current version. Guess it updated itself quickly.
Ah man! They took away the Silent option when rocking the volume rocker all the way down. Only vibrate again, unless you turn vibrate off in the options menu. Also it feels as if my vibrate is extremely weaker? I don't like that. I use vibrate only a lot! I'm also not a huge fan of the new way you edit your screens. Like the amount & order of them. I mean it's cool they added if you pinch you can edit them like Launcher Pro. Other than that...everything is 100x better IMO. Quicker. Google Search. The option to turn Data off in the pull down drawer. Even the windows in the browser look different. Instead of a list, you get a preview of the website you are on. Pretty cool. I'll have more input later more than likely when I start using everything.
I've always just gone to silent mode by holding down the power button and selecting it. My wife always did the "drop the volume all the way to the bottom" but I think it takes more effort.
The touch feedback is MUCH lighter in 2.2, but I realize that you can change the intensity in the settings menu. I like it lighter though, haven't tested vibrate though.
I need to give the 2.2 browser a whirl, although I'll probably still stick with Opera Mobile.
I was using launcherpro too and everything just came back on like normal...maybe do a factory reset?
Everything loaded right up with LP for me too. I was sure it'd shoot me back to a factory reset too, I was pleasantly surprised.

I dont think there is a way to do this, the actual search button will always use Bing....
There must be. The very first time I hit the search button it took me straight to Google Search with the option to search other things as well. Every time since then it's pulled up Bing.
Press and hold you "back" button and while holding the "back" button down press the power button. This will make a screen shot for you and put it in a folder in your gallery called ScreenCapture.
I never knew this, I may give it a try.
but it does seem much faster and smoother. Web pages seem to load faster. Overall I'm quite pleased.
