I recently upgraded to the Inc.4G putting my original Inc. from 2010 in my nightstand drawer.
I didn't have any problems with my original Inc. from day one. I upgraded simply because I could, my two years was up.
I wanted the latest and greatest, I liked the Inc.4G since it was similar to my original.
Actually, the 4G smokes the original in my opinion.

I guess I can finally post here...
Finally did the same thing: Ordered a Dinc 4G to replace my original, which I've had since pre-ordering the original one (And waiting with everyone while they shipped incrementally...remember that? LOL)
I have been having tons of problems...photos being saved in random places....photos deleting themselves...reboots...apps disappearing....I loved this phone, but it's about that time. I'm happy to be sticking with the Incredible family so far...we shall see how that goes.

When I upgraded from my Eris to the Incredible, I used my Eris as a wireless keyboard/mouse on my home theater system (using WiFi and an app I downloaded) for a while.
Now both phones are sitting in my desk drawer with several other phones over the years. My still all-time-fave in that drawer ? My Motorola Star-Tac (one analog and one digital). My worst ? The Samsung Juke.
Looking in that drawer brings back memories, I buy WAY too many phones. I even have my original phone in there... a Motorola Flip.

Well, after a long 2 years and 8 months with the DiNC, it was time to say goodbye yesterday. I've had it since launch day and it's been a great phone for me. But the 3G speeds were getting too cumbersome for productive day-to-day usage. So the wife and I both picked up Samsung Galaxy S3s yesterday at the Best Buy $49 sale. So far, so good. I'm still getting used to this huge screen!
Farewell my old friend! Gone, but not forgotten. I'll probably give it to the kids to play games on.

Long time lurker. Felt my first post belonged in this thread as I held a Dinc for almost two years with hardly an issue.
I have moved on to Gnex which I really, really like(love). However, I will always consider myself part of the Incredible family.
To those that have offered so much of your knowledge.... I thank you all!!! This site is great because of all your hard work.

Just checking in to see if the lights are still on in this thread. It's interesting to see that there are still some using the Dinc. That speaks to the quality of phone it is/was. While I have moved on more than a year ago to my Gnex, I'm currently counting down the days until August 15, 2013 to get what's new.

That's true, but there is something to that new car smell.
Amen. And my 60 something year old mother is using my Inc and couldn't be happier with it (apart from being over whelmed)

I retired my DInc a month ago for a Note 2. I absolutely LOVE this phone. I got used to the size in a couple days & couldn't see myself going back to a smaller phone now. I don't have to charge my phone every night & regularly have charge cycles where I get near 7hours of screen on time!

Haha its funny that many of us are still on the same schedule for an update. My only fear now is not getting the latest and greatest next go around because it'll lose me my unlimited data. I may be using lesser and/or used phones from now on idk.

The time has finally come for me to say goodbye to my beloved Dinc. After dealing with increasing crashes and reboots, laggy responses, and other problems, I picked up a Note 2 yesterday.
Farewell, HTC Droid Incredible- I knew thee from when the Nexus One was supposed to be coming to Verizon. Pardon the horrible pun, but you truly were the first incredible phone I'd ever owned.

I'm still here, still using the Incredible (rooted, S-Off, and on the last stable CM build released). Granted, my eye has wandered to the DNA, and to the HTC One that's supposed to be coming, but my phone is still going strong (even though it freezes once in a while and I have to pull the battery). I don't know that I'm ever going to find a phone that I love as much as I've loved the Inc though.

It has been a long time my old friend. Your habit of perpetually having no space and only functioning when you felt like it finally did you in. I have replaced you with a newer, younger, slimmer, more fun new girl. The divorce papers have been filed. Her name is "Motarola Razr M" and she is hot and fast.. not like you... Good bye!
My next phone I will likely move home phone and internet to Verizon and I will pay less and have plenty of data for my needs.
For now my Nexus is great (haven't unlocked yet) and my kids love their Incredible media devices.

Wondering how many Dinc owners there are still about. I'm ready to move on to the Droid Maxx from my Gnex. 20 months seem to come and go so quickly around here!
Hi. I'm still using my original Dinc (the one with the AMOLED screen which I'd per-ordered and received in late April 2010). But it's been buggy - constantly has the low-on-space error; has the "update available" message come up every once in a while but when I click on "reboot and install" nothing happens (so I have to click on cancel).
I've been looking for new phone - I intend to buy it as full price so I can keep my unlimited data and not have to sign a 2-year contract. I used a spreadsheet to compare Samsung GS4 price with a new 2-year contract & new monthly rates on Verizon Wireless website against paying full price & keeping my current monthly rates. At the end of two years I would have paid about $200 or so more by paying full price & keeping my current monthly rates (not to mention my unlimited data) and my employer % discount in both options. I hope to do a similar comparative analysis when the HTC One finally comes to Verizon.
What are others thinking of buying as far as a new phone goes (besides the Droid Maxx mentioned by OP)?
