best buy might set up one of those instances where they sell on the 25th but the "official launch" is hte 29th...the date where the general public will realize the new phone is for sale.

Basically its a matter of PLANNED maintenance versus unforeseen disaster prevention/response. Hopefully you understaned we're doing everything we can to hook you all up with the goods 24/7 and have plans to improve further.

Things aren't perfect yet... but we'll continue to aim for perfection. If the site is a tad slow over the coming days, realize we're on top of it! Simply isn't something we can fix with the snap of a finger.

That being said I want to thank everyone that has peeked their head into this thread and especially those that continue to follow and contribute. This is by far the most epic thread in the history of AndroidForums. Heck... this thread is bigger than most other AndroidForums in their entirety!

You guys really are the best!!!!!!!!!!

The 25th would be awesome. Day after my birthday...happy birthday to me!!! IF it happens.
 
These internal stock dates, especially coming from internal systems, are subject to some interpretation.

When I worked at (the now defunct) Circuit City, we often had several dates in the system. One for the warehouse, one for pre-orders, one for the floor dates, etc...

Also - the one thing that has been vexing me has been the seeming lack of stock of the phone to this point.

Anticipated, "Release Date" type of stuff (games, movies, game consoles) always arrived about 2-4 weeks early, depending on the manufacturer. Often times, I would specifically look for these boxes as they were all marked with bright red tape.

With the 25th or 29th release date pending, I'd be really surprised if we didn't start seeing some BBY-sourced photos of the phone, because it has to be arriving pretty soon.

Some of the phone guys here might know the shipping dynamics much better than I do - but for other in demand retail electronics, I always assumed 2-3 weeks was the minimum.

Now - it's just a matter of getting a corrupt BBY employee to go digging through some boxes with red tape....

Not necessarily. He could have just stumbled upon the link and modified the last number until he reached the end.

Since the Incredible is their newest device, it's apparently #2098 in the database. The next device they release will likely be #2099. Just play with the last number in that link and you'll see.

Haha well today I received an e-mail on my Tour and when I went to check it, the subject had Incredible in it so I was excited...only to realize it was from HP and had nothing to do with phones. You are not alone.

I don't remember where (probably somewhere in this thread), but I do recall reading that the buttons have been improved.
 
What did we see today? Verizon site saying release on the 29th. We've seen official Best Buy docs that say Launch on the 29th.

I think we can safely say the 29th is the relase date.
 
sorry if this was already touched upon, but is it the case that BB will get the Incredible before I could buy it directly from verizon?


if not, what is the speculated date for the availability at verizon?

edit: so BB will get it on the 25th (ANON), but what about verizon?
 
so i see that someone took a snapshot of the HTC INCREDIBLE in Best Buys Inventory system and in the description it now says HTC INCREDIBLE. SO IT WOULD APPEAR that i was INDEED correct when i originally posted image back on april 5 stating that the BBY21LD phone was MORE THAN LIKELY the HTC INCREDIBLE and NOT A BLACKBERRY like many astute forum readers had assumed, and that it would arrive in stores the 25th of April. THe skus match up with my original post. i would very much like to thank the folks that believed me at the time especially montana man for sending me a PM thanking me for leaking the photo. i would also like to thank all the haters and idiots stating that i photo shopped the image. it will be my great honor knowing that my info digging brought more information out and narrowing down a release date. I havent been on the forums nor did i try finding more info on this phone because quite frankly all the idiots, trolls, whatever you want to call them did not make it worthwhile in tyring to find out more information. i have read almost every post and with whatever info was posted it was scrutinized by every inch even tho those same people scrutinizing it did absolutley nothing productive in this forum besides badger

Peace i will have the luxury of playing with this phone in a week!!!!
