Yeah dude! Her and Mila Kunis are the yin and yang of hotness! I heard they are both getting the Incredible btw.

sorry but......Jessica Biel is hotter that both :D IMHO

AWESOME news today by the way! It feels so good to know we have a pretty damn concrete date. It feels its finally going to happen! Cant wait to toss this Voyager into the street!!!! Yay

Uh, negative on that. Jessica Biel was quoted saying something about how she was *too* attractive to get good roles in movies. Really, Jessica? I'd take either of the yin yang twins (the ones previously mentioned, not the music group) over JB any day of the year. Plus I heard JB isn't getting the Incredible. No thanks.

It's true. My son's 16 and plays a mean electric guitar. He's all cool and stuff, right? He's full of teen-age angst and stuff, you know, embarrassed of the parents and stuff. But every now and then I hug my son and ask him, "you still in there?" He says, "yes" and I can tell he appreciates the love.

Ok.. done with this OT thing. God I love being a father.

I luv being a father too... its the greatest. And I hug my son all the time. I also tickle him and wipe his butt after he uses the big boy potty. Doing any one of these three things to you would make me feel awkward.:o

Thanks for the reply viperboy. I have seen that app described at AppBrain. It does appear however that it requires touching the screen and using phone's mic/speaker to initiate and then switch to the bluetooth. From their description "Unlike Droid's Voice Dialer, VDHF talks with you! It uses the phone's speakerphone/mic until a call is made (and can then switch to Bluetooth)."

This precludes true hands free and absolutely precludes dialing with phone in holster.

Anyone else have any solutions you have encountered for similar problem on virtually all other Android phones (except the one I mentioned earlier)?

We can hope that a custom ROM enables it on the Droid, it's on the non-U.S. Droids like the Sholes and Milestone.

Now that's my kind of easy going O.T. post:
The gals of the forum talking about which gals they think are the hottest.

None of them are as hot as my new phone is going to be, though. :)

Thinks that I am unforgettable too"

Ok on battery life
How can you take anothers opinion on how the battery life will be.... amount of signal means everything. If I have 5 bars all day I can hammer the phone alll day and it will be ok, now if I have 1-2 bars sometimes no bars then the battery will not last as long. 1300 battery we are in trouble where I live I will be getting the heavy user battery as even with 3-4 barsI can kill the battery in 5 hours

Yeah, I think they planned that 1300mAh battery on purpose, because they knew then that they'd get a bunch of people droppin' an extra $60 in their pockets for the extended battery.

with the full 2.1 honestly if you do anything the battery is done... I pandora music for 40 min up and back and battery was over half gone. This was on an eris so with higher CPU will take away from that altho the amoled will add to it, I hope I am wrong..... but the Eris 2.1 battery sucks. my .02

Battery life is the one thing I'm really worried about. I REALLY use my phone a lot... as in if I go out shopping, I use it to keep up to date on this forum, text my friends, make calls, and surf the web. Hoping that I will only have to charge it once a day! My Omnia only lasts about 2 hours into my trip from all that use.

I'm still predicting a friday announcement.

Its like VZW is playing chess. they are just moving all their pieces into position before they announcement Checkma.... INCREDIBLE! :D

I'm sure the Incredible manages battery a little better but this still worries me a bit. I have a Tour and the battery is one thing I do not worry because it last me through a day no problem. I use my phone a lot including Pandora running all the time.

I just figured from the very outset, that I'd be getting an extended battery when I bought the Incredible. Plus, this way, I'll also have both the regular and extended battery brand new from the outset, so it's that much more battery power I'll have with me during the day, since the regular battery as a spare isn't going to take up any room at all in my laptop bag that's with me during the day.

I hope so. Do u know of any current smartphone that does have just an OLED?

I think pretty much how it works is that OLED describes a specific type of thin display technology which doesn't require a backlight and Active-Matrix refers to the technology behind the addressing of pixels.

Here's a pretty good article on Wikipedia that is concise and a good read:
Active-matrix OLED - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I know the Incredible's screen is going to look jammin'

Just checked on HTC's website, both the N1 and the Desire are 3.7 inch AMOLED screens. There's no reason why they wouldn't use the same or a newer version of the same screen.

i think that means that they will have it in stock on the 25th, but not selling it til the 29th.. We've all seen the confirmed Best Buy internal docs..

Screens say "in-stock date", not "sale date"..
I would think this whole arriving, in stock, sale date should be easy enough to figure out for anyone that works at BB. All we need to do is to compare the release time frame for an upcoming BluRay. All (most) movies are released on Tuesdays. Just check to see what the dates are for a movie and see how that relates to the Incredible.

Though I could be waaay off base...
