Long time lurker, first time contributor...

Today is a great day! Can't tell you how excited I am. I'm still on a Palm Centro....

Question: Wasn't there a photo or some info about a desktop dock for the incredible about a week or two ago? I swear I remember seeing it, but now I can't find anything about a desktop dock for Incredible. There is all sorts of info about the car dock (ugly as hell IMO), but nothing on the desktop dock.... If anyone has a link or any info to share, I'd be appreciative!

Do you guys think VZ will open corporate stores early on the 29th for this launch? Didn't they open early for the Droid?

I think they might get a lot more first day buyers with the Incredible.

So I just got done drooling over the EG page.

Something I noticed..it does say 16GB expandable memory.

It also has the WORST description ever -
Description The new Droid Incredible with Google: You want a phone with attitude. Super sleek on the outside, 8-megapixel camera on the inside, you look marvelous. With it's sports-car-inspired body design and 3.7" HD screen, the Droid Incredible is always dressed to impress. Note: User's Manual is not included in the box with device

You look marvelous? Really? Will we counter Luke Wilson with Billy Crystal?

CHECK YOUR PM's!!

See Anon's Launch Package download ;)

This maybe be an easy choice for some but I need some swaying!! Does anyone have a side-by-side comparison between the droid incredible and the evo? I also have concerns about the Sprint 3G network's performance. I don't have 4G in my area. That is really why I'm liking this "Incredible" phone :) And I've heard good things about verizon network. aaaahhhh which one. I wish we had more info on the EVO. ie pricing.... Love what HTC is putting out these days. Keep it up

I'm not in a 4g area either; so 4g wasn't a draw for me. The two main different between the Evo and the Incredible are:

1. The front facing camera
2. The 8 device built-in WiFi hotspot

If coverage wasn't a problem for me, I would stay with Sprint and get the Evo because of the Wifi hotspot. I get no coverage at work so I'm moving to Verizon and getting the Incredible.

One advantage of the Incredible over the Evo is the internal 8g memory.

Go check out what else they think plus more...new accessories, desk dock, covers, holsters, Sense overview, usage instructions, etc...in the DROID Incredible Launch Package!

I'm droooooling again!!!! Thanks ANON, you did it again!!! And THANKS to whoever the source was (although I think we all have a pretty good idea who THAT was, but we will NEVER tell) ;)

"Visual Voice Mail -
Visual Voice Mail allows the management of voice mail directly from the
device rather than accessing your voice mail via traditional methods."

This is listed under the features and advantages page. Do you have to pay VZW a fee to use this or is it included in the phone like the iPhone???

All indications are 802.11n was a typo. There's no confirmation that it's on the device and the current info only lists a/b/g.

probably the same broadcom chip as the N1, so it's capable of N, but probably isn't implemented.

I'm not a rep, but I know the answer. You can preorder it and not worry about what number you plan to use it on. When it comes in and you activate it you can then easily transfer the number either on that same call or on line. It takes about a minute to swap numbers. Verizon does a very good job at making things as easy as possible for their customers to do these types of things themselves, IMHO.

So when I do the pre-order, I use the number with the upgrade so that I can get the new contract price? But when it comes and I activate it, I use my current number?

on page 25, I see this....Installing a microSD (8GB pre‐installed)...hmmm...does this mean it comes with an 8gb microsd card? or is this just another mistype and they are talking about the 8gig of internal memory? just caught my eye

Hope so.. that's what I'm planning on doing. Glad my wife doesn't care what phone she has. :p
