***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

I received my tracking number. For those that had already received their DINK,DRINK,DINC.. whatever you wanna call it... Where was it being shipped from?
 
I finally got a chance to play with the Incredible last night at my local verizon store as they had a working demo and I have known the store manager for a few years. All I can say is WOW!!! I have previously owned the Iphone 3GS as well as currently owning the Moto droid and the Incredible CRUSHES them both. The incredible is the fastest device I have ever touched, screen is absolutely gorgeous. The incredible to me is surprisingly thin, feels and looks much thinner in person than all the pics and vids online give it justice for... I absolutely cannot wait for mine to arrive on the 27th. I asked the manager about possibly selling them early and he said absolutely not its a firm 29th release...

Mine came in form of an email from Verizon....
 
My order has been processed but I haven't received the shipping notification. How come some estimated delivery dates are 26th, 27th, and 28th? Are they shipping by order number (time/date ordered), location, or is it just random? When I checked out free overnight was the default shipping option don't know if this means anything though because people were saying it changed to 2-day in the shipping notification. Honestly I'll be happy if it comes any time before the 29th, just wondering what to expect.

Remember there had been a lot of confusion about the overnight or 2 day shipping. Some people chose the default 2 day because the site said all preorders will be delivered on the 29th. Some of us used the FREEOVERNT code or paid the extra for overnight. If you did overnight it looks like you will be getting it a day before those who said the shipping option did not matter.

In the separate thread about shipping notifications, many people are getting their tracking numbers with ETAs of two days. I think Verizon is just saving a ton of money if they can ship most orders out "2-day" instead of "overnight".

They are only obligated to get them to you by the promised date of the 29th. So I think only the orders that are left to ship on the 28th will get "overnight shipping".

Just my opinion, but do you realize how much overnight costs and how much they will save by not using it unless it's necessary to meet the delivery date of the 29th?
 
I got my email confirming shipping today the 25th for delivery by 3PM EST on the 27th.

OBTW there is another thread about shipping to post this on so others don't get mad that this is ruining this thread and they can get back to talking about where they ate for dinner last night :rolleyes:
 
So i just got an email with my shipping info....and it's listed as 2-Day Service enough though I used the Overnight promo code.....says estimated arrival is the 28th...which is still 1 day ahead of schedule...just not sure why it didn't have overnight....

Im interested to see what happens because i paid for the Priority overnight shipping by 1030am so i wouldnt have to be waiting around the house all day....
 
Quick question. After your order has been shipped what does it say on the Order Status page of verizon?

FYI I am at work so I can't access email, this is why I ask.

Yea, that one haha. It is thin. I think it adds a little bulk to the phone, which is fine since the phone is so thin. It looks verrrry slick and neat IMHO.

I ordered mine sunday night and i never even had a shipping choice, it was free overnight automatically. says ill get it on the 27th. sure hope so!

And my tracking# shows a delivery date of the 28th :)
