You're getting what you bargained for - in fact, you'll likely be getting your phone a day early.

If Verizon can pull it together to ship a day earlier to get a 2-day rate, more power to them as long as it doesn't make a difference on your end.

If they do have a substantially large bump in shipping quantity, it also helps them (and FedEx) to spread the load out over a few days - the result being in the earlier orders getting their phones a day or two early so that they're caught up by 4:00 P.M. on the 28th. This way everyone who pre-orders up to that time gets theirs by the promised release date of the 29th.

As the saying goes, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

elborak please read this, because this is how you debate someone without going to the lengths you did thank you!

I think they've done a great job, although the web site could have been more stable. Its hard to build an ecommerce site that maybe has 10,000 orders in a day and then have 25,000 orders in an hour (just making these numbers up)...the technology you use for one doesn't always work for the other. I'll cut them some slack on the tech side since they just don't launch online-only pre-orders for hugely popular phones very often. I'm sure they'll be better prepared next time.

Other than that, I was happy the pre-orders went on sale early. I was able to buy my accessories and have them by the time the phone ships. It looks like they are right on schedule to ship the phones as promised (and maybe, just maybe, a day or two early).

All in all, I think they did a fine job. The fact that they didn't announce the phone any earlier, and let the leaks build anticipation, is very common (a la apple) these days and made the excitement build, which was fun. Sure, the people in the stores and the csr's didn't have much info, but who cares - if you just followed their official announcements and instructions, they delivered exactly what they said they would (assuming no shipping probs!).

I'm just happy they have a really cutting edge phone with great design. All the reviews seem very good. With all the hype (and with all the iphone fanatics) I was expecting more negative reviews. :)

I second that.... they did a good job to get soo many orders in and have the phone delivered early in most cases.... I dont agree with the moaning that was going on 3 pages ago. Uncalled for to EXPECT to get the phone EARLIER than the announced date. Its a bonus and people should act that way.. and to call it a fail BEFORE the announced date is premature. It looks like a big INCREDIBLE success IMO.

If you PAID for overnight, that would be different. How can you say anything if it was free shipping and they get it to you before the promised date?

I agree. We didn't neccisarrily pay more for the overnight shipping. They promised it by the 29th, and thats what theyre delivering on.

Now if someone did not get the free overnight shipping code, or get free overnight automatically, but paid for overnight and it ships early but not overnight, then they should at the very least get that shipping charge refunded.
Thats not my case, but I remember people who didnt get free overnight and had a 14$ on their bill.

If you pay and they accept payment for overnight shipping then ship it 2nd day and pocket the difference that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. If it's shipped with a free code then they really are not collecting any money for something they didn't provide.

I hope you win your $9 lawsuit!!! Go gettem!

Ugh, this is soo depressing. I ordered on 4/20 and mine still says waiting for availability... Good luck to all you 4/19 folks. Looks like you'll be enjoying your incredibles a few days early.

I wanted to pre-order this phone soo badd, but finals are coming up and if i pre-order, just fuggedaboutit, i will not even pay attention to anything else, so i decided to challenge myself and kil two birds with one stone, if i make all A's this semester i am getting this phone, otherwise i have to stick with my dumbphone, plus i wanted to wait to see the reviews from normal consumers, not just techies..... So i am excited, well back to studying....i will check back later....have fun y'all

Sad... never thought I'd see this thread deteriorate into one glorified cyber "gossip fence" over "who is getting their phone on what day?" and "why is my order information different from yours?" and so on and so on... not to mention the endless posts of people's cut-and-paste order info from their emails! Come ON, people, if you have questions pertaining to your order, take it up with Verizon - it's absolutely pointless to whine and bitch about it here. :(

Evidently you never heard of class action lawsuits. And yes $9 from enough people would attract attention.

How many people do you think paid for shipping on this phone? A million? Regardless, I think that anyone that paid for overnight shipping (even though it said all orders will be received on April 29th) will be able to get a refund...people that caught their mistake early on were able to get a credit on their account.

EDIT: That is, unless it actually does go overnight, then obviously no refund...

So you'd be happier if they shipped overnight on the 28th (hence honoring their contract) than if they ship 2-day on the 25th or 26th ("violating" their contract)?

This thread has become truly unbelievable...

no... i'd be happier if they shipped it out tomorrow, and with me having free overnight shipping, recieve the package on the 27th, hence the overnight. and actually... it says i'll recieve it on the 27th, so i guess i'm getting my overnight shipping...

fed ex got the information for processing and shipping it out tomorrow. fed ex won't start shipping items on a Sunday (i don't think, may be wrong). So, people who chose overnight and already got their tracking numbers, such as myself, should get their packages by tuesday.

you have a good theory, but sorry, Fed ex doesn't choose what method they want to ship their items by. we as consumers can track our package and figure out if it's been shipped overnight, and many people that put money down for overnight will be very upset if they see thats not the case.

What lengths did I go to? You were accusing VZW of violating the purchase contract, which is silly. I called you on it. Then you sarcastically called me a genius in a post full of typos (funny that).

No big deal. Nothing worth getting nasty over. I made my point and I'm done.

Agree...the good news is that the threads 'with a purpose' are actually still good. The new order processing/shipping thread is great for those that are eager to keep track of which orders have shipped (and when theirs might). It's helpful, polite, on topic, etc.

This thread has run its course (probably should have been shut down a few days ago) but hopefully the helpful people will stay and use the other threads to get the most out of these phones once we have them!

True... this thread was a lot of fun while it lasted. You're right... it has indeed run its course and it needs to go away. Time to check out the related Incredible threads now! :)

Dude, cyber gossip is all this thread has been about... I remember not too long ago that people had the same opinion about the content of your posts... I just do not see how anyone can complain about the content of this thread anymore. It was given a free-for-all fun run status long ago with the only real stipulation that we be nice to each other... I think that the general opinion is that if you do not find it useful, then move on to the next one. We are simply seeing the darwinian evolution of this thread to extinction. Whay is that so hard to believe..?
