question for everyone..im going to be recieving my DI today before 3pm.. woohoo! but my question is i still need a screen protector..i def want the sgp but until i get that i want something covering the display sooo i def want something covering the whole face of the phone but i did see bb offers a screen protector that u can cut yourself and i know its crappy but you can cover whole face or go with verizon and just cover the screen and i noticed its a privacy screen protector which is pretty cool..what would all of you do???

Some Verizon stores are already selling Incredible accessories, including screen protectors. I'd check there first.


At any rate, I can't wait to see a thread with all the people freaking out about shipping status talking about how much they waited for nothing and that the phone sucks. You know it's gonna happen. :D

Mine is arriving today too. Funny, it went in to Newark, then West Chester, (20 miles from me), then showed back to Newark, and now at Lancaster. I called them because I was going to pick it up, but they said it is out on the truck for delivery. I'm going to hang in here and delay getting in to work just in case.

Either way, I will have my Incredible today :D
 
You guys really don't get how companies work with FedEx do you? None of you pre-orderd an iPad, did you?

So here you go, to end all of this bickering and questions.

It doesn't really matter where it shows your package is sitting, my iPad was sitting at a facility in China the night before I receieved my iPad at 10am in the morning, even though it was actually located at a FedEx location in CT. Apple & FedEx made sure that none of these devices was delivered before 4/3/2010 and none were.

Verizon, as far as I can tell doesn't care to go to that extent, so some of you MAY get the phone a day early, but these packages are meant to be delivered on a certain date, no matter what shipping you chose (2 day, overnight, etc). None of it matters since Verizon wants you to get the phone on the 29th.

Like i mentioned, I don't think the street date for these things is that important, and there probably are a lot of orders already placed, so you will probably see some being delivered on wednesday and the majority of them delivered on thursday.

Bottom line is if Verizon really cared and had an extremely hard street date, then they would have worked out a system with FedEx where none of the phones would have been delivered before 4/29, obviously that wasnt the case.
 
You guys are lucky...my tracking page only says the following:

It's still supposed to be delivered by 4/28 7:00pm...but I'm getting nervous that it wont.

All shipment travel activity is displayed in local time for the location
To display the shipment travel activity in local time of the scan, please select "Local Scan Time" time zone option.

They must have picked up bulk shipments. Because i have the exact same info, times and all. And im getting mine shipped to ohio instead of yours (pittsburgh)

Thanks, Dad. Obviously your condescension hid the part where I didn't complain about my delivery date. I made an off the cuff joke about my box going around in circles. It says I'll have my phone tomorrow, and whence or iffn I don't receive it upon the morrow, I'll begin the dark rituals of conjuring up a post containing my unabated ire.

you guys really are all nuts with this shipping stalking and obsession over a phone!

Here's the new thread i'm waiting for:

"I got my brand new Droid Incredible i've been waiting 80 million days for, i was so nervous and my hands were shaking like tremors ripping open the package that it slipped out of my hands and landed on the pavement. Now it's all scratched up and destoyed, im going to kill myself."

Oh I'm sure they did do bulk shipments, I just would have expected some other update at this point. I noticed that all the FedEx tracking sites mention Memphis could have delays due to inclement weather...we'll see I guess.

I did send a tweet @VZWSupport to see if they knew anything about the shipping from Memphis.

I am from Western PA also and my tracking pretty much looks the same only differs by a few minutes.....

They are just holding on to the packages that don't need deliver today. They could have delivered today, but why should they? They aren't that nice.

Yeah, I'm hoping the phones are actually on the move but who knows.

It seems as though @VZWSupport on twitter is looking in to it for me as they asked for my tracking number...
