I apologize if this has been posted already, but I'm sure that everyone is aware of the size of this thread.

DailyTech - Sprint Gets Nexus One, Verizon Gears up for HTC Incredible

"DailyTech spoke with sources at Verizon, who confirmed that the HTC Incredible was supposed to begin to arrive at Verizon Wireless stores in two weeks."

Note that this was written on March 17, 2010.

I have never heard anything about a confirmation on the Incredible, so I am very skeptical about this article. Thoughts?

Again, sorry if this has been posted before.

Someone made a joke about Axis being the name since VZ is being evil and not releasing the phone. Then someone from the forum added it to the Wiki page and confused everyone.

lol..... Great... THAT'S all we need! People looking up everyone's crazy input on the Incredible on Wikipedia and then running here to report it as fact! The vicious internet will come full circle to us once again!

Alright, so I understand that rumors should not be posted on Wikipedia. However, I want to keep the concept photo on there; where can I find the link to that so I can at least cite it?

I just have to comment that the lack of news, today, is eerie. I'm wondering if it is a lull before a storm.

New here, have been watching these forums for a week or so because I am anxiously awaiting. Anyone else notice that the Droid is "Out of Stock" online?! Good Sign?

We had about 4 pages on this around 1pm today. It was determined to be a regional out of stock that will be temporary since the Incredible won't be replacing the Droid (no keyboard and not moto).

I dont know if anyone read my post but this forum is running so fast I want to make sure it had a chance.

Looks, the possibility of not having some problems the verizon nexus might have too (the multi touch problem, etc). Also, sense ui. You could easily enough go into a verizon store and see if you like the droid's interface more or less than the eris's. Don't look at speed though since the snapdragon would make them noticeably the same quickness.

There's also the convenience of getting a phone at your verizon store and if you get a lemon, going back and walking out with another rather than worrying about calling google (if you can, they might still be only email) and shipping it back and forth.

EDIT: btw we are getting close to post 20,000! :D

So, I heard that Verizon's internal name for the Incredible is actualy h Phantom. How funny (or not) is that?

Lurker forced to start commenting. I didn't realize I was going to get sucked into this phone the way I have. I'd never heard of it 5 days ago. Now I spend my day looking for updates to this thread. How does that happen? I feel like all the anticipation is creating a phone that cannot possibly be as good as it seems. That sounds negative, but damn have I developed a serious NEED to get this thing. The only thing that keeps me from feeling too bad about it is the fact that there are all of you guys on here feeling the exact same way. It's contagious. HTC Contagion is my vote.

all good, except I corrected the underclocked part. from what we know it isn't underclocked.

Underclocking would not be terrible as a battery-saving measure as long as there were a way to turn underclocking off. Sometimes the processor is needed and sometimes it isn't, just depends on the application.

An auto setting would be nice that would notice when the user needs more process cycles, then suspend underclocking until the phone's owner goes idle.

Just my $0.02.

Welcome to the addiction..... we need to start a support group. lol :p

Ya know what - WHEN this phone is FINALLY released, I hope that, in a year or two when we're all back here in this crazy forum, on some new thread, waiting for the HTC Xanadu to drop, that we have learned something. It will be all too easy to get lost in the hype and anticipation as we count down the days once we do find out the release date for our Incredible - but we should ALSO keep our ear to the ground AFTER the fact and see if we can find out from any sources as to WHY Verizon did what it did in regards to releasing this phone. Let's see if we can find out what was really going on as to why they didn't announce anything at MWC or CTIA. Let's remember the time frame from when the testers first got the phone (first week in March, I believe) and when it was actually released. I realize that it isn't a perfect science by ANY means but in going forth, and by making mental notes now, we will all benefit when it comes time to best predict Verizon's next move on down the road! :)

What the hell are you talking about? Paying attention? Learning from past conduct? Watching for patterns? Hindsight? Perspective?

Madness I tell you, madness.

guys im actually thinking of holding out for the iphone.....WAIT WHAT AM I SAYING?!?! this phone needs to come out soon, im starting to get delusional
