The Eris went HTC EOL last week, or the week before - I don't remember the date exactly - whatever the date was when I had posted it in here. However, Verizon still has to unload the thousands of them that they're still sitting on - hence the FREE Eris promotions everywhere you look.
 
At this point i am falling towards the Nexus one, mostly because there is evidence that it will at some point come to Verizon, as the google website said, given the responses from the CSR's it is possible that the Incredible might not pass the so-called test that Verizon is putting it through, since we are not even getting any indication that this might be a reality at all..... I would really love to have sense on my phone, so i will hold out for the incredible maybe, but after april 15th i am down with the Nexus. Maybe i'm just really tired...

Why go for the N1 if you can wait just a few weeks for the Incredible?

Come on... 8mp cam AND FM tuner?!?!?! :D

Right, so as you previously posted, Eris went EOL already, and it looks like Berryscoop probably meant that VZW will stop selling it on April 1. This would give VZW about a month to sell/give a ton of those things away, and then they could retain whatever stock is left on April 1 to satisfy warranty/insurance claims.

For those that know VZW/the wireless business in general, does this make sense, or is it off base?

Does VZW usually make a phone end of life after less than 4 months and it being very popular? seems strange to me.
