I'm not putting him down per se, but how many people that have claimed to have seen the phone, touched the device or are testing the handset post photo's, videos, Tweets, heck....even become members in this forum and post comments about their experience with it, but don't offer a slew of concrete information on the darn thing!? If I had a Ben Franklin for each one I'd be rich by now. NewsRadio alone would have made me a mint! :D

I think that there are so many people that want this phone to be "real" so badly (including myself) that they're willing to put their faith in just about anyone that seems to have a shred of credible information on it, but at the end of the day who really knows?

Until I hear official word from Verizon or see actual photos, videos and specs of the "to be released" phone, I'm not putting my faith in anything being claimed here.

Thats fair enough. You are 100% entitled to your own opinion. I guess we'll just wait and see. What else can we do right?

Let's face it - the majority of us here are extremely impatient! We want new news on the Incredible and we want it NOW. Trouble is, we aren't getting what we want. We're getting fragments of things which may or may not be accurate. So we have no choice but to digest them and hope that they stay down. Our patience is tested almost daily now as one Messiah after another gallops in here - tossing scraps to the information-starved masses with the promise of returning tomorrow with more. Just in the past couple of weeks there was Sarab Singh, DevDroidian (who, thanks to his pics, has the best credibility), and now NKT. They vanish into the nether regions of cyberspace as our patience is tested once again. While we hope they resurface soon with more information for us, it's all we can do to gaze forlornly at our existing phones while hoping for an Incredible sunrise in the not-too-distant future. In a very unique way - we're the ones keeping eachother from going off the deep end! ;)

Your first claim is somewhat invalid. You're asking people who have signed confidentiality contracts to reveal everything about a product that is supposed to be hidden from the public. Are you saying that you'd risk your career by completely putting yourself out there to people you don't know? If youre answer is what I hope it is, which is no, then that is the reason why these people can't give you concrete info. Not only that, but at this phase, the phone is not in a finalized stage, so how can they give you more than what they know themselves.

No one is forcing you to believe anything claimed within this thread. Thats why its a rumor right? If you don't want to believe any of it, then that is your choice. Just as, us putting faith in what we believe is real.. that is my choice. I think thats what you're missing here. A disclaimer for this thread and any speculations should be: TAKE IT FOR WHAT ITS WORTH. If you don't believe it, fine. Move on. And if you want to wait until you hear official word, then there really isn't any point in reading this thread right? I mean, from what I can tell, none of us here are capable of making official announcements for Verizon. I know I explained this situation VERY clearly to, I think Montana?, about rumors and posts in this thread. Having this thread and the people that are willing to share is a privledge. The amount of trust you entitle each of these speculations is entirely up to you.

Not attacking you, so don't take it personal.

No offense taken whatsoever, yet I find it ironic when someone claims to have seen or come in contact with the Incredible folks here either A. doubt the validity of their claims initially and query the crap out of them and/or B. immediately want to know specs and when that information isn't forthcoming for the reasons you expressed, then point A. is reverted back to quite often and that person gets attacked.

Bottom line. We all agree that the phone exits. In what form it will be released and when and perhaps even if it will be released is a guessing game right now.

Yup. Which is why I'm going to blow a fuse if nothing is announced at CTIA (at the latest)
 
I hope that they shape this phone up to look like the sexy Desire. Man, what a good looking phone. Verizon, although it may seem the other way, aren't as dumb as we think. I would assume that they would make a phone according to whom they are marketing it. So, if they are marketing it towards us (power, business users), then I think we should be fine.

Woop, if CTIA comes and goes without a shred of "real" news regarding some kind of Ferrari of an HTC Android phone coming to VZW you and I will both show up with torches and pitchforks outside their corporate office, as there will be hell to pay! :D

As much as it has been a pleasure talking to you fellas and ladies.. I, for one, will be HAPPY once this thread is gone, and when all of us stop posting, because that can only mean that the phone has been released and that I won't have time to check the forums due to me being occupied by my Incredible:D

He never said he was going to be testing it. You did.

He said he may be getting some hands on time in the next week. Also, it's pretty unfair to compare NKT to Knewsnothing-io. Take some time to review his posting history before you belittle him. You should be thanking him and hoping he comes back after/if he does get to fondle the damn thing to share what he finds out.

If the Incredible is announced at the CTIA, how long do you think before it hits the stores? My contract is up 4/3. Plus, I wanted to know if I uploaded the avatar thing correct.

If they are going to announce it at CTIA I think they would release the phone sometime in early to mid April but I guess we can't be sure exactly when.

I'd give it a 2-3 week window before it drops. Let the hype build up amongst the tech bloggers and their readers.

2 days ago HTC replied to me and there were NO delays in any launches and they didn't really seem concerned about the lawsuit.

Now take that for what it is worth and they wouldn't tell me if they were concerned, but the e-mail was re-assuring and they said they would let their customers knows pretty much ASAP with news about the lawsuit.

Perhaps the equivalent of a baseball player such as Pedro Martinez, who played out out the final year of his contract, his performance is sub par, he plays every game, insisting his shoulder feels great...but doesn't want his suitors to know that he's wounded and may never deliver the goods ever again.
