Confirmed he works for Verizon... I found his FB page and he has Verizon listed as his employer. I am guessing he is a CSR or something.
 
"Miracle", someone a History of the World fan? ;)

Regarding the 11 home screen question early. There were rumors of Sense 2.1 having 11 home screens but nothing past that.

I wish that was something that was configurable in stock android (and inherited in derivatives)

Yeah, a few (prolly 20 xD) pages back I went through this because of the rumors, but I watched the leaked video and it showed 7 homescreens.

We've talked about this so many times on here, but I am wondering what the percentage is of Verizon employees that claim or actually have no clue this device is coming? I don't know whether to be concerned about that or not.

Here's my two cents: I work for a biotech company and am in sales. Not only do I know the products that my company currently has on the market, I also know what's in the pipeline. I would hate to have a customer inform me of an upcoming product from my company that I had never heard of before. That's the best way to lose credibility, IMO.

I realize that it is two totally different industries, but sales is basically sales - whether it's cars, biologicals, or cell phones.

So here's what I think:
1) they don't care
2) they're FOS
3) they're oblivious

I would tend (or hope) to believe there are some great sales people with VZW that do their homework. Anyone else see a disconnect?

That's probably their company policy and standard operating procedure (i.e - they're "not ALLOWED" to talk about products or information that haven't "officially" been released yet).

I called Verizon's customer service a couple of weeks ago, and was talking to a rep about some things regarding my account AND some of the "rumored upcoming phones". This particular rep was honest enough to tell me that "even if she knew...they weren't allowed to talk about anything that hasn't officially been released yet." And I believe her.

So I think that many are uninformed and do fall into that "they don't care" category....but I also believe that many that MIGHT know are simply following company guidelines as well.

ok...i'm back... i took my daughter to the movies tonight as she is home from college this week. Had a good time... what did we do on the way to the movie theater? why stop at the verizon store, of course! ;)

There is a nice tech-geek young lady, there. She and I get into tech gossip a LOT. I asked her for all info she might have on the incredible. Per status quo, she heard NOTHING about it! She even looked in her inventory for me (which was nice of her especially because our store gets super crowded and it was so tonight).

So, I ended up telling her all about the phone and she got all excited about it, especially when I mentioned HTC Sense UI. I told HER it would be announced at CTIA or thereabouts. Funny. It feels strange knowing more about this stuff than VZ employees.
