***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

since the devour is already on their website, if the devour and the incredible on the same day theory is to pan out, the countdown to midnight is the release of both, yet I dont see any incredible phones anywhere except in my imagination.
 
Just chatted with a rep on the Testman site, nothing really new, the whole "i don't know about the Incredible", but as she said

Tiffany: I'm sorry but we are not informed about any new phones before they are released. You: So when they become available, that is the first time you know about them?
Tiffany: Yes, when they come on the site that's when we find out about them, they are new to us as they will be to everyone else!

He didn't manage to release the release date-type kernel, did he? :rolleyes:
 
Things I've learned from this thread not directly related to the Incredible:


  1. There are only about 140 unique posts in this thread, but they've been repeated approximately 100 times each, making a total of ~14000 posts.
  2. People don't understand the definition of "confirmed". Like, finding an "unconfirmed leaked rom" or whatever and then extracting details from it does not make them "confirmed" details.
  3. There are a lot of moody biatches in here. We're all pretty darn excited for this phone, but some of you goofuses are telling us how you are actually PISSED that this phone didn't get announced yet, as if it was ever a sure thing. Puh-lease!
  4. Some people lack logic. Big time.

I saw the Devour at Costco today, so it's not like it's anything new that people couldn't get before. Isn't it just a Verizon release date? I thought you could get it at BB too.
 
I think we can safely assume that we aren't going to hear anything about the incredible for at least a little while if VZ is promoting the devour that big.

unfortunately the programmers didn't think to write down the release date in the ROM code so that will not be among the things that can be retrieved.

But, things confirmed so far from the Incredible ROM
- Skype Mobile [here]
- up to 1Gb flash / 512Mb ram [here]
- moviNAND flash storage but unknown size [here]

I also found references to 768MHz cpuclk and 8MP camera, however, the context of those references are a bit confusing so I wouldn't say it's a confirmation of either of those.

Thats a good point. If the Incredible was released, it would almost certainly grab that first slot on their front page.
 
what is one bad*ss phone that has come out on VZW? Don't they always just wait until the kinks are worked out on the other networks so they can always offer something stable?

That's what I was thinking. If the Incredible and Devour were releasing at the same time, would they really have a big ad for the Devour over the Incredible?

That's all you have learned? That just means your not paying attention. You didn't even mention a box in any off that moody, mindless blubbering.
