There has been SO much evidence showing that it is coming to Verizon, pictures of the phone branded with Verizon, the Verizon slash screen from the video back in February which also shows Verizon Wireless as the Carrier under the notifications drop down menu, two HTC phones have passed through the FCC with Verizon frequencies lol how much more proof do you need?

And it's true that the Cellebrite system isn't "Verizon Wireless's" system other carriers use it too but considering all I mentioned above I really don't see it going anywhere else.

How much (in your opinion) would I be giving up by trading my Droid for an Eris (plus add'l cash of course)

I have the Droid now and wold sell it (or the Eris) when the Incredible come out. I just like new and different things often.

I'd sell either on Craigslist when the Inc comes out, but think that there may be a bigger demand for the Droid (not withstanding the price difference)
Plus, you can get a brand new Eris on Amazon for 1 cent! That pisses me off!

Don't forget the Verizon twitter yesterday specifically mentioned the Incredible. There's no way it isn't coming to Verizon.

That picture isn't proof that it's coming to Verizon (there's plenty of other proof of that). It's only proof of the impending release.

DO NOT TAKE THAT IMAGE AS PROOF THE INCREDIBLE IS COMING TO VZW.

VZW's CelleBrite units have support for almost every cellphone under the sun. Looking through the CelleBrite database, I found entries for all version of the iPhone, ALL the Droid devices, and a bunch of other crap from 5-15 years ago.

Anyone on here that has used the machine can confirm ?

Yes. I use one every day at my stores. The CelleBrite has every phone that is made to allow transfer of contacts and pictures. Although, new phones are added when they will be coming to market to allow the transfer.

Really, it's just proof that it's coming. His point is that regardless of carrier, the Cellebrites have all phones for all carriers. It's so you can walk into any carrier's store and transfer your contacts and other data from your phone regardless of who you're currently with. It's sorta a one-machine-for-all. It's not like a Verizon store's Cellebrite would have it and an AT&T store's wouldn't. Not sure why they posted that because we know it's a Verizon phone, but they're technically right that it's not solid evidence of a particular carrier getting a particular phone.

That is true. The CelleBrite database does contain phones from many wireless providers. The reason it does this is so that information can be transferred from other carriers' phones to new VZW accounts (or whichever company is using the machine).

But this engadget post misses the point. No one was saying that the Incredible was coming to VZW because it was found in the CelleBrite database. It was only confirmation that the phone exists and that a release is drawing close.

That said, I don't think the fact that the Incredible is coming to VZW is even in question. We have seen the phone listed in the VZW database and seen VZW branding on pictures of the battery door. There are numerous other posts that have established conclusively that the phone is being worked on by Verizon.

The guy was misinformed. He needs to start reading our thread.:D

Obviously this person is so in the dark. Are they now suggesting that the Incredible is supposed to be on a different carrier? I think part of these people's problem is the THEY DON'T READ!!! I never ready anything that made me think that the Incredible was coming to anyone other than Verizon. Also all the Verizon branding on the phone pretty much gives it away. I think I found a TOOL for my shed!

Battery door branded Verizon, the new screen shots today with the Incredible in Verizon's system, and let's not forget the video of the Incredible with Verizon Wireless on the boot screen. Hmmmmmmmmmmm,
You are correct sir, it must be going to Sprint I guess.

Edit: Not just screen shots, but working links for the Incredible, and other phones as well.

Amusing story for the day...

I was over at Costco today and stopped by their wireless kiosk, hoping they might have a functional Eris so I could show my husband why I'm so obsessed with Sense UI. They didn't, but they did have a Droid, so I decided to play with that for a bit.

Anyway, one of the two guys there started telling me all about the Droid and all the stuff it can do. I told him it really wasn't necessary to try and sell me the phone, because I was waiting for the HTC Incredible. He had no idea what I was talking about, so I brought up the Evergreen thread on the Droid I was using to show him.

The dude was ENTHRALLED, and was all like, "Wow, this looks sweet! I was going to wait for the iPhone, but you said this might come out this month? Screw the iPhone, I'm getting this! Thanks!"

Ha ha! Come to the dark side, we have cookies!

Don't know if thats good or bad.........they're so in the dark they don't know anything, bad???

I'm going to guess that on Monday, or this week, after that infodoc getting leaked and having a ton of hits to it that the leadership will put something out, this is what happened with the Droid.

I am the original poster of the pics and they are real. They were taken on my bb storm. I was just trying to help. The blurriness of one picture and clarity of another can be attributed to my crappy phone. Was just trying to help because I have been looking and waiting forever for an actual date. Just wanted to let others in on it. Would be no proof if I said "release date is the 28th. Trust me, I know." I was just trying to help others with something I happened to find. As others have stated, could have been something that manager did for their own knowledge. It was only at one of the two Verizon Corporate stores that we clean. Trust me, I looked everywhere at the other store for the same calendar to hopefully find a matching one. In any case, believe me or not, I really don't care. Wanted to just help. If I find anything else I will let you know. Going back tonight. Will try to take a pic of the whole board it was on if I can--(again, crappy phone)

Thanks for your posts. We can all relate to the crappy phone syndrome so don't worry about it. When you get YOUR Incredible you can get a picture of the calendar in 8MP glory.

Thanks again and please don't let the any sayers dissuade you from continuing your contributions to our addiction for tidbits of anything Incredible.

I didn't follow the Droid's release. Can someone explain this?

Does anyone think there will be any problems with carrying this phone in a pocket? I've always carried my phones in my pockets, but I've been hearing about dust problems and cracks on other phones (including the N1, which is a step-brother to this phone).

Today Verizon's win back dept called me and asked me why I was discontinuing my Verizon service (even though I'm not) I said because Sprint was cheaper. They gave me their network pitch and offered me one month of free service to stay. Of course I accepted and since I was speaking to a somewhat higher deptartment than typical the reps, I asked when the Nexus on was due to come out, the win back lady told me they had no release dates of the Nexus one but she said we are expecting to launch some new devices in May. I thought that sounded encouraging.
