Isn't the Incredible a bit too hyped?
It's basically a Nexus One.

+ With 8 MP Camera
+ 8 GB internal memory
+ 802.11n
+ A tiny bit smaller
- Shorter battery life?
- No noise canceling mic?

What do you think? Does it have other advantages compared to the N1?

Yeah it doesn't have all the bugs (hopefully) *knocks on wood*

Damn lying commercials. I thought you could believe everything you heard on tv!

I formally withdraw my argument and apologize for the confusion. I had thought the new prices were already in effect based on tv ads I had seen. I still have my Alltel plan so I honestly don't follow VZW plan rates closely.

The fact that it will most likely come out before the N1 is a huge advantage right there and given the problems the current N1's have had, 3G issues, Screen issues, paint coming off of the phone I think the Incredible is better than the Nexus One.

HTC Sync is PC software to sync your HTC phone to your computer. What is the problem with that?

Nothing. I just read it wrong and was thinking it said "Sense" and not "Sync" as if you had to install "Sense UI" to the phone yourself. That's what I get for reading this manual while conducting a conference call.

No, it's more like an HTC Desire.

All those plusses, plus!:

+ Try it in store before you buy.
+ Verizon will service/do warranty stuff (N1 has to be sent back to Google. Not cool)
+ FM Radio
+ HTC Sense (which is a ++ in my book)
+ We actually have a release date on it
+ Sharper looking case. That matte/two-tone look on the N1 is yuck.
+ No nippl... I mean, trackball
+ Better working touch sensitive buttons under the screen.

Hyped, sure. But at least people will actually get to touch it and decide before dropping bones on a phone. Ask T-Mobile how the N1 is working out for them...

Its on Verizon and will be available soon. Thats makes it the best Android phone so far and on the best network. = Big news.

One more question here about battery life. Since we're getting a stock 1300 mah batter will there be a way to buy a higher capacity battery (say 2000 mah) ?? I've never purchased a backup for any of my phones but because I'm not loving the battery life here I'm not interested in something like that.
