ya if you think about it - now that the site is password protected only a selected "few" will have had time to sign up for notifications pre-announcement....so maybe we will be first in line

I work in IT and we track amount of bandwidth and sometimes amount of time one one site (facebook) being the biggest offender.. and youtube which has been blocked - minus the people who try to go around the block using a proxy

When I worked for Verizon they tracked everything down the site.. buddy got fired for visiting espn.com everyday and security caught it..

work for verizon and when they say internet for business use only they mean it...
 
Just called Verizon to ask about pre-ordering the Incredible. Was given typical answer of we don't know yet, but it's coming. I followed up with a question about being eligible for another upgrade in a year so I could get a 4g phone. The rep told me that the newer droid phones coming out such as the one you are asking about (strange he wouldn't say incredible, but told me that it was coming out) is capable of being upgraded to 4g capability when that comes to Verizon and all you have to do is hit *228, send then option 2. I haven't heard of this before, is this correct and if this has already been answered, a thousand apologies.

I know I am a bit late to the game here;
I was super psyched to see the manual for the incredible, I am awaiting this phone with baited breath.

I did have one question though, it looks to me like all the screen shots and icons are from Android 1.5 not 2.1. (page 24 in the manual)

There is no way in the world that they would release this phone with 1.5 would they?

(if this was addressed already I am sorry, I have not read all the 1000's of posts that have come between now and then)

Yes, that's how I got my Storm 1.. in fact they called me and offered it to me before release and before my NE2 was up.
 
Luckily I left the verizon incredible page open in one of my tabs...I won't hit refresh.....I'll just stare all day.....whenever Im feeling down....I'll just look at it.....




until it gets put on the main site...then it won't be sacred anymore;)

IMO this was on purpose and it is gone now because you've picked up the scent. More HTC/Droid Incredible blogs written, more internet buzz, more desire for new information. They're playing us all and it's working.

It could really be either one of the situations. It's possible that they intentionally leaked the info. It's also possible that the person modifying the site didn't know it was accessible outside of VZW's intranet, or assumed that no one would find it.

such a great day and on a side note i have been at work for 2 and a half hours still no work done lol. I better start be back in an hour (what am i talking about more like 5-10 min)
 
Bummer, I cant see it either. Buddie has training on the Incredible tomorrow in the Schamburg IL corporate VZW location. Were getting close folks!
 
I am going back and remembering when the phone was called HTC Passion. Way back in November I told my wife I was going to wait patiently for this phone (I have been eligible for NE2 since January). I took my old Motorola Q9M out of the drawer and changed my plan over to a smart phone plan in aniticipation for this phone. Finally the days are counting down and the "HTC Passion" will be available as the Droid Incredible. A moment of silence please ...

When you preorder is that guaranteeing you get one on release day? Or does that simply mean I paid for it early?
