Number one was probably "Is Android Forums Down" or "Who is hosting Android Forums website because I want to kill them".
 
Really, really excited about this phone. Amazing effort from all of you being the first with every bit of information about this phone. Is there any exclusive information elsewhere? This topic has been the most fun I've ever had reading through a forum topic. Some people have complained about off-topic, but I found it provides a way to pass the time between announcements, which are more and more frequent. I mean... people said yesterday was uneventful? I'm absent-minded, but I remember at least Costco/Accessories.

Was lurking these forums forever, and waiting for the Desire (UK), CDMA Nexus One (soon=eternity), and then this phone. Verizon FINALLY got one, and it's Incredible.

These forums going down fits with my thoughts that VZW has some "Big Brother" thing going on. My phones always stop working right before my NE2 comes up. They used their phone botnet to slapus around. ;-)

It'll be interesting to see if that is the actual name, or if it's another case of an initial posting that will be corrected when we see the official release. It seems to me that HTC, like Motorola, would have to get a licensing deal from LucasFilm to use the moniker " " 'Droid' Incredible " as that company holds the TM for "Droid".
 
ok, so just a little clarification...

The site was taken down on purpose (not by VZW...sheesh) to implement a solution that is intended to fix the recent performance issues. There is another longer term fix and hardening coming in a few days.

On a separate topic, i personally got a number of complaints that the thread was once again going down a road it shouldn't for pages...bickering, name calling, inflammatory posts, etc... Guys, we are here to be "techy"...not solve global socio-economic crises, debate merits of American foreign policy, feed anyone's nationalistic fervor, or see who has the biggest and loudest screeching bald eagle and flag. Please refrain from getting into topics that are, on their best day, polarizing.

I'd imagine they should all say with Google (except the backflip because AT&T messed that one up) since they all use Android and use Google Search for everything....

Who knows...
 
Had to prove to myself that I wasn't addicted, (and to get the wife to stop smirking at me and rubbing the place where the tape goes on the nose-piece of her glasses) so I took a day off from compulsive AF F5-ing...

And this happens!!!!

That's they way it usually happens. :rolleyes: Should have stopped looking around CTIA!

I can finally plan the funeral for my trusty, dying Dare. :D

Old Best Buy employee here. I'm not sure if their Best Buy Mobile works any differently but anything that came into the store with a specific release date was programmed into the Point of Sales (POS) system. If you tried to purchase it before that the register would not allow it.

I do know that stock would be "On Hand" in the warehouse days before release, but managers were very strict and if product went out early then it was not a pretty picture, plus the POS system is controlled on a corporate level, no one in store has that type of power to sell anything early.
 
I'm not sure why they would label this phone as withGoogle, and not HTC Sense. That doesn't make sense to me. I didn't think any non-stock phones were supposed to carry the With Google moniker.

Oh come now, you know that those who have little to no Thanks that complain are the ones that work for other websites and have to sit on threads like this to get content for their lackluster sites. ;)
