Why because of luck? Honestly there was one of those stations with 4 monitors where you put your name and reason for visit. A sales rep was on one with the other 3 open. I actually went to the sales rep while others went to the empty stations. After taking care of the person in front of me, and taking my info he told me I was 2nd in the cue. I was expecting to wait so :p hate away.
 
Would somebody please tell me what is in the box? Online it does not say what you get with the phone.

I also can't figure out why I'm being offered the upgrade online for $20 less than what I would get on the phone or in the store, and that includes my new every two discount.
 
Finally got mine after waiting four about 3 hours. The costco nearest me said they werent getting them in till Tuesday so I went to one about half an ahour away that was getting them in. We waited 3 hours to find out that they were one of the 6 Costco's across the nation that didnt get their shipment in today, and the one closest to me. Had to rush all the way back and ended up being the first one to buy one at that store!

I misunderstood what you said originally... I was under the impression that you cut in line outside. I can't stand people that play the games that second graders do. If you got taken care of second once inside due to employee error you had no control over that.
 
Got mine today while on my lunch break...started work at 6am so I took my lunch at 10am right as a nearby verizon store was opening up. There were a couple people in line already so I had to wait. Barely got it in time to get back to work...didn't even eat. :D
 
I got owned. My rep put one aside for me so I walk in at 7:00 PM and he starts to get my stuff together. I told him to put it on my account and he said "Oh, you have a payment due. I can't put it on your account until you pay that". Unfortunately, I had not budgeted to pay it until the 15th.

I'm going to go to Verizon Plus Store on Saturday. If they have them, they can throw it on my FIOS bill (which is up to date), but they don't always get phones on launch so I might have to wait until the 15th to get mine. Sad panda.
 
I got mine today, it's so nice! I can't believe how blazing fast the phone feels, but of course that's coming from an OG Droid which was starting to show it's age. But the difference is an even better improvement from my G1 to Droid. I don't like that 'screen door' effect of the screen which I see from time to time, but for the most part the screen is gorgeous. I tried Best Buy first because I had gift cards, but they said it will be a few days before they get their's. I couldn't wait. I drove right over to the Verizon store. It's such a nice phone... it feels so light after the Droid (I don't notice it in my pocket as much as I did with the Droid).
 
Went to costco at 830 thinking they opened at 9am for business members but they opened at 10 for all members. I saw only one person so I left to go get something to eat and went to a VZW to play with my future toy. Got back by 930 and there were six guys! One of them says, "Awww you got here too late. There's six of us already and you're the 7th person." I was kinda disappointed but I stayed anyways. :D
3 hrs of waiting, one of them had to leave for work then I got my bionic 25 mins after that guy left. I'm so happy I stayed. :p
 
Got mine in hand! Got it at Costco..... Barely though! Got the last one... of six. And that was after making a couple trips to that store... Luckily they took my name down and I got the call shortly after (well, actually me calling and bugging).

Other than that, this phone sings. Feel bad for my OG Droid though... but we gotta move on...
 
Been too busy setting up and playing all day (and night) to post until now (2:30 a.m.). Called before opening Thursday and three local Costcos gave me different answers about distribution, but one put my name at the top of the list. Bless him! They got 6 and all had been promised when I arrived; during the hour while I waited for Fedex to arrive with them about 4 people asked in person and 10 more called, and they all had to go on the waiting list for the next shipment.

It's great! Attractive--the lip is glossy deep pewter color, feels light, the hump is barely noticeable, and it's fast. Charged it and downloaded about 50 apps in the desk cradle while working this afternoon. Then did nonstop app config at home from about 7 p.m.-1 a.m. before battery dropped to 5%.

The Costco bundle is a real steal. A bonus for this Californian: Costco charged me sales tax only on the 2-year subsidized price, less their $20 instant rebate--$279.99. VZW always charges it on the full retail price, so that saved about another $25.

I fondly kiss my OG Droid goodbye. As others have said, it's been a great little machine, but it just couldn't keep up any more. I look forward to at least dating this one until the Prime comes out, and then I'll decide who to marry. Well, for two years anyway. :o
 
Got my Bionic yesterday at Costco in Waltham, MA. They told me they got 6. I'd showed up at 10:00 AM when they opened but the guy at the kiosk, (who is a great guy, by the way, named Geren), said they hadn't arrived but took my name. He called me around 12:30 and told me to get in if I wanted one. Some other guy beat me to the first one, but I got the 2nd. It came with a raft of accessories including a car dock, car charger, desk dock, desk battery charger and spare battery, screen protectors (2), extra wall charger, and a (Geek Special) leather belt holster! An amazing goodie bag. Runs very well. Still trying to figure out how to program in my voice mail password for one button VM retrieval. Has instructional videos on the phone; a terrific idea for the user and probably cuts down hugely on support calls. Great screen. No particular problems. While I like the 4G which, interestingly enough, seems to overcome some of the dead spots in the Boston-west area I experienced with my 3G Droid Incredible, since I'm not a big media hound, doesn't seem to make a huge difference but is certainly noticeable.
Since Costco gives a 90 day return, which I used with the Droid Charge that I got a few months ago and HATED, it seemed the best deal of all the sources for the Bioinic. I was especially blown away by the accessory kit. So I've had it one day and am wondering, for no good reason at all, if this phone will get the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.
 
Got mine yesterday at Costco like a lot of other people, and boy am I glad I am on unlimited data. I have already burned through 513MB according to the data usage widget, I seem to like doing the speedtest at different areas around the city. Next thing is to hook it up to my netflix account.
 
Ordered Bionic this morning. Shelled out the 19.99 for Saturday delivery so I can have it tomorrow. Got to keep my unlimited data plan that I've had for years. (Yay!)
 
Went to just look at the Bionic at the local Verizon store. I was first through the door, had a great sales lady, walked out with my new Bionic! Moving from the Droid 1, and this is a great improvement. Took a little while to get all my apps and ringtones back, but all seems good so far. I do miss the screen mode widget I had that let me wake the Droid 1 with a press of any button and bypass the lock screen - I will have to look for a new widget for that. I used ADW launcher on the other Droid, but I am going to stay with the plain vanilla for a while and see how I like it.

Went to Costco here in New York located in Manhattan on 116st, arrived around 10am but was told they were expecting 6 pieces hopefully no later than 11am. I walked around store for an hour and back to the kiosk but no arrival. They still wait for FedEx delivery. I went back to car listen to the radio for an hour, then back into store and still no phone. By 12:30 I gave my name and ask that the gentleman please call me the minute they arrive and I will turn back around. Now I’m 3 1/2 hours late for work. On the way to the office I remember another Costco located in Yonkers so hell since I’m late why not go all the way. I got to the store opened a membership, went to the kiosk and was told I was right on time because the only have 2 left.
Now I have a hold up. They looked at my account and notice there is a past due of $12.10 so that has to be cleared up first. While trying to get through Verizon a customer service a customer came in and wanted to purchase the Bionic, so now my heart beating fast cause that now leaves 1 left. Verizon had me on hold for a while due to high call volumes and the hold time I’m messing in my pants hoping nobody walks up to purchase the last one. Rep tells me they can’t hold not knowing the outcome of my account so they have to sell as the people request.
Finally someone picks up and I made the past due payment right on time. Since I have two account’s the phone I was walking with was not the one to be upgraded so dialing #pay would have credited that account which is why I had to speak to rep to make pay on the upgrade due account.
In the end I got the last one and I reach work by 3pm. You can’t beat $279 plus all the accessories you can dream of for free. IDK if the accessories or genuine Moto but if it works then that’s all I need to know. Forgot to mention as i was leaving the store I stopped by customer service turned in the card and cancel account for full refund. Call it what you want but I have no need to shop bulk when it's just me or else I would have kept it. Also only worked for 3 hours (3-6pm). That's what I call WINNING!!!

Here’s hoping that your experience was not as day full.

I work at a Verizon Plus. We got our shipment today, and all other Plus stores "should" have as well. My store got 9. No accessories though. I would stop by a corportate VZW and get that extended battery deal!
 
Ordered mine online as the store would not give me the $50 upgrade credit. I ordered it yesterday but the site still says "processing" so I expect it to get here before they update their info.
 
just a heads up - the extended battery is only 24.99 online also - so you don't have to go to a corporate store if you dont have one near you.
