Chat box just kept popping up on the screen for me. I was using Chrome.

Where is everyone seeing the Chat option? I'm on the order screen and I need to talk to them because i'm not getting the discount price and i'm supposed too!
 
what option did you choose? when i try an agent it says "normal hours are 6am till blah blah blah"

chat wouldn't help me either, said they "had no access to that account information"

Yeah tell me about it. But I'm lucky I'm even getting the phone at all, considering the hell I went through just to convince him to let me get a smartphone, even though I'm paying for every cent of it out of my pocket. I was going to go to the store tomorrow but it turns out I couldn't miss work.
 
Got mine ordered but was told it would take a day or two to process.I guess new subscribers will not get theirs until Monday or Tuesday.:(
new customer i'd have been in the store tomorrow unless something was just up and I couldnt be...or I would have called in the morning and talked to a csr

they're salavating over new customer for this release. I have been with them for 7 years and have auto pay on my account, 5 lines, and couldnt get it in a store, cause they are only selling to new customers

but congrats on getting it ordered
 
Just thought i'd tell this to you guys, the agent i spoke with got my upgrade through, but the $100 rebate isn't instant for over the phone.
which here is the reason for that early upgrade for current customers bit

the reason is because you have to do it over the phone or instore and that eliminates the instant rebate and turns it into a mail in rebate

either way, i'm all ordered up and that was a horrible web experience . . .
i got further in 10 mins waiting on hold for an agent . . .

to answer how i got to chat, like the one poster said above, just add something to your cart and go all the way to the end of the transaction until you get to the confirm / submit order page a link appears that says "Chat" on the TOP LEFT of the page

$369.99 = 1year upgrade before $100 mail in rebate (blechhhhh, almost makes me wanna cry . . .)
 
Wtf I ordered mine at around 12:40 and by 2 AM I got an email saying:

THAT is BULLSPIT! I ordered it with the impression that I would get it soon. I need it by monday! I have a flight on tuesday, I ordered it early to have it by then. That email doesn't leave me feeling good about my chances of getting it by then. Verizon you are F'n UP!

Edit: BTW the email says my Order date is 07/15/2010 04:47:53, i'm assuming that number after the date is the time. All I want to know is how this is possible? As I write this it's only 2:45 AM EST.... I ordered it like at 12:40.... F Verizon

just a heads up, that email got sent out to the Droid Incredible pre-orderers when there were a ton of orders for the system to process
so thats a standard email they send out when the system needs to play "catch up" to process orders
but of course the same issues that occured when the Incredible pre-order started is happening again for the X

I just chatted with a representative online (went through the check out process to get there) and "Misty" told me that my 2-day free shipping will still get me the phone by Friday. Does anyone actually think this is possible? Why pay for $8.99 overnight shipping if the free shipping will get there at the same time??

in the promo code u can type "freeovernt" and get free overnight.

Well, the lady I was connected with told me there are no promo codes...I used the prmcd10 or whatever for the 10% anyway and it worked. I don't think any of them know anything.:rolleyes:

I know but I used the 10% off one instead. I wish they could be combined. At the time, I just figured I'd get the phone on Saturday so free shipping wasn't a big deal, but I read somewhere on here that it won't be until Monday instead.

Are you in CA as well? $50 is really harsh, imo. At least there was a slight discount with the promo... Did you pay for shipping or get the free 2-day?
 
Just ordered mine via calling the *611. Have to say I was on hold for 20 minutes before I spoke with anyone but the guy that place my order was very nice. My phone will ship in the morning using Fedex. Sweet. So excited. I did the 1 years contract with it. Hope everyone else is having good news also.

But they charged $60 for sales tax :( (don't forget about that if you will be tight on funds)

Dude, that tax SUCKS! Mine was like $13.72 or something, for real.

Edit: It was $13.17. (I screencapped it, bc my printer is out of ink!)
 
How was your tax on $13.72?

Where do you live? The tax is based on the full price of the phone if I am not mistaken (~$500+) and not the discounted rates.


I live in NC, and I think tax is based on the actual price you pay in my state, and tax is about 8%, and when I do the math it comes out to that being a good explanation haha.
