Official "I JUST ORDERED THE NEXUS 5!!!" Thread

How would you compare your lte availability and speed compared to other phones? A salesperson at tmobile told me it sucks.

My experience with T-Mobile mirrors yours. I'm very happy with the speed, consistency and reliability from my unlimited plan. Considering I average six to seven gigs of data each month, plus unlimited text and talk all for just $70, I'm very satisfied.

It was marked as "Emergency conditions beyond UPS' control." all day yesterday (:(), and I talked to my son who works at UPS (not a driver, though) and he said he thinks they didn't send the delivery trucks out on Wednesday here in the city because the side roads were so bad (his read on the situation).

It's marked as "out-for-delivery" again today, so hoping for the best.

They arrived before noon! :party:

Activated them at T-Mobile after work and just started unlocking the bootloader and updating, configuring, etc.

We're pretty happy campers ;) :).
 
I ordered my 32GB Nexus 5 on the evening of 12 December direct from Google. Despite initially being informed that it would not be available until just after Christmas, I was very pleased to receive it on 16 December. That's only one working day!

As a 'low user' I worked out that it would be cheaper to buy it SIM-free at
 
Ordered mine on friday and it left Kentucky headed toward Maryland early this morning. I got the 32GB white version. Pretty psyched to play with it! Hopefully it goes out for delivery tomorrow and I can get it before I go to work at 2.
 
Mine is out for delivery right now, I had to leave for work at 230 and my wife doesn't get home til like 345 so hopefully we didn't miss the UPS guy. *crosses fingers

Ok my wife was there for the delivery, now I just have to get through my 3-11 shift before I can go home and play with it. Only 6 and 1/2 more hours!
 
Perhaps your wife is playing with it right now!
Or perhaps she'll play with it when you get home. Your phone, that is!
 
Does anyone know if the nexus 5 from t-mobile is the same as the play store phone? Is it unlocked? Get ota updates the same?

Ok thanks. Thinking of making jump from Verizon just a little concerned about coverage. But paying the Etf is calling to me.
 
What's surprising is the nexus 5 from sprint is exactly the same as the play store variant.

Huge win for Google on doing that. I'm guessing Verizon didn't want to play nicely

LOL, when I called to cancel my service with VZW and told her the reason I was switching was because I wanted the N5 and VZW didn't carry it, she was like "oh, I think we're getting that device pretty soon!".

Really? :eek:

Nope...not in a million years.
