**** OFFICIAL **** ICS COMING SOON thread... Post all questions and info here!!!!

830 here and nothing either. the disappointing or worrisome part about all of this is that everyday it seems a new phone is getting the upgrade but it's never our maxx. and has been really no official news or updates about it except for the cnet article that may or may not have been true anyway

Who wants to bet there will be no upgrade for RAZR ever. And why they should upgrade an "old" phone when new ones are popping up.

Disappointed but not surprised. If it really doesn't come out today we could probably expect it by the end of June. I can't see them pushing it past July

but then again I'm sure all the newer phones are getting all the attention pushing the MAXX at the end of the line in terms of upgrading.

Everyone know verizon delays upgrades for one simple reason. They want you to get the latest and greatest with ICS. They will not update the Razr to ICS until after the Razr HD and GS3 come out. We are talking at least the middle of July or later. And just because Motorola is saying an update is coming out Q2, does not mean Verizon has to follow suit.

I hope it comes soon and it fixes my data connection. My wife and I are not happy at all. Data connection drops and we are in the 4G market. She dropped her fascinate and I dropped my DX2 for this none connecting phone. Hope they fix it soon.

Just because you are in a 4G market does not mean every tower in your market is 4G ready. This will cause your phone to lose connection. A good way to test to see if it is your phone is too switch it to cdma only. If 3G connection holds fine, then you are likely bouncing between towers for 4G and 3G service, which will cause your phone to drop data connections at times.

I will have to sbf back to stock from my modded ICS rom (that drops data) -- so I am hoping someone will post good news and I can start the process, then OTA.

While we wait patiently (or otherwise) for ICS to arrive, perhaps someone can answer a related question:
I would like to do a 'clean install' of ICS. I assume that the OTA update will just upgrade what is already there, leaving the existing apps installed, settings, etc.? What is the best way to completely reinstall ICS at this point? Should I just let the phone do an OTA update, then do a hard reset to 'factory settings'?

I have the same issues. I set it to either 3g or 4g, have all blue bars full, and it still wont send my texts. Its seemingly at random, and im up to about 6 resets a day. I was hoping ics was going to fix this, but still dont know. My Droid 3 never had these issues and I'm right in the heart of downtown where I work that I lose data.

Hi, anyone know if razr maxx will update while traveling in Germany? I have wifi and when I check for updates it says I'm up to date. Makes me think ICS will come through when available??? Would love it if it worked on German 4G network now.

I wish it didn't say "Your device is up to date!" with the cheery exclamation point. It should say "No ICS for you!! :-("

There is no sense checking, it won't happen today. There has been no reports of the soak test starting and Verizon usually posts the update page a few days in advance of the release. Regardless, there's only 2 weeks left in the month, i'm sure we can wait that out.
