[OFFICIAL] Inbox Invites

Valvrave messaged me (previously expired from my pm) and had not received a notification of his pm. I can confirm this is an issue. Anyway, my pm to BigRedGonzo has expired so I sent my last invite to Valvrave. Hopefully I'll get three more as some others have, but mine are gone for the time being.

I would really like an invite, and will pay it forward to participants in this thread.

Brain706: thanks for starting this thread. Great idea!

Sorry I was out of town this weekend. The closest thing to electronics I had with me was a fishing rod and a pistol. Lots of sand and salt water and FRIGGIN rain. Anyway, I missed my PM, can I get "re-listed?"

Thanks,

Mods, can you scratch my name from the list? I just got my invite directly from Google/Gmail. I signed up a couple weeks ago and had about given up on getting an invite going that route.

I'll keep an eye on this thread and spread the love when I have invites to give out.

The Inbox app, are there any advantages over the Gmail 5.0 app?

It's a different approach from the Gmail app - one may fit your usage style better than the other. If you (like me) like to keep your inbox cleared of everything except emails which a follow-up, Inbox is probably more your speed. If, on the other hand, you're like I was up until two months ago ( ;) ) and just keep everything in your inbox, the updated Gmail is probably more your style.

I'm going to be cooking supper at the start time, so I will post now that it is T-Minus 25 minutes until "Operation Spam inbox@gmail.com" commences. Reminder, Google posted this on G+ earlier today:

Want an invite TODAY? #InboxHappyHour 3-4pm PT. Send us an email at inbox@google.com between 3pm and 4pm pacific and you'll get an invite by 5pm.

The times on the post are Pacific, so adjust your Time zone appropriately.

Damn, I just sent a request on my wife's behalf and their servers are down. I guess we got the work out.:p

Edit: second attempt went through, I got the standard response I got when I asked earlier.

Prior to getting my invite and using Inbox by Google, I tried everything I could download from the Play Store for my other mail accounts while using the provided Gmail client. I ended up choosing Blue Mail for all my accts.

Now on day two with Inbox despite it lacking a single unified inbox choice, it's other features are of great value to me. Considering it's a new product with more improvements and additions coming I'm particularly impressed. The layout is very conducive in increasing the speed with which i can process my mail.

I cannot overstate the value of dedicating time to read the tutorials. Some of its best features are easy to use, yet not so easy to discover without learning this app.
