i have a boost mobile samsung galaxy rush SPH-M830 would that qualify? and is metropcs' unlimited data plan truely unlimited and if not at what point do they ramp down your speeds?

60 GB but that isn't a gsm phone that is CDMA only way you could get that on metro is if you know a guy who knows a guy who flashes to stuff

I'm actually interested in getting the metro branded s4, but I'm curious as to whether it will work in my area.

I don't want to get the phone and it not work.

People kill me in that a lot still can't wrap their head around a plan that says "unlimited data" and "unlimited data at ________ speed".

I actually purchased an ATT S3. Being that I was switching to ATT I figured I should take full advantage and get LTE also. Their pre paid plans added lte a couple weeks ago and I average 2 gigs a month so it works for me. Plus my area consistently hits 35-50mbps and indoor coverage is perfect.

I didn't want to give up the nexus but I also couldn't stand T mobile any longer. They get better with speeds but get worse with indoor coverage. It used to be okay for $40 a month but it got to where inside service was non existent. I still love what they are doing but until they obtain more bands for better indoor coverage, I can't pay for half service.

I needed a phone comparable to the N4 and that was cheap so the S3 was my answer. It's temporary but it's working great for right now Either until there's a N5 or I go with the G2.

Whoever told you that is a dumb dumb. I now know 2 people with S4s activated and functioning fine here in Metro Detroit. One Metro, One T-Mobile. There is a store right next to where I work that always says stuff like this. Walk in: So when are you going to have BYOD "Early October". Walk in later in July: I see you have BYOD, how much does it cost? "$35. $15 for the SIM, $20 for activation" ....oh ok, bye. Walk in: Why does your card say that the Metro S3 has a quad core processor? "Because it does" ...oh, ok. I always go in there for a laugh but would never be stupid enough to give them my business. They like to prey on the dummies. Shysters.
 
$15 for the SIM? Ouch and then $20 for activation. That's why if more people joined our forums they would know the actual Sims are $10. activation not sure how much it is. But taking into consideration that I have a connection here on af so I won't have to worry about activation.

yup, but I can tell you from now, it's either a battery hog, or I'm way to hard on my phones, but its blazing fast, should check out the thread we have about compatible devices not yet listed. and yes the xperia z works, I'm using it now.

Those are the bands. Would this phone be compatible?

If the 1st set is LTE and 2nd is HSPA you'll get LTE and refarmed HSPA
But it doesn't say the technologies so not sure

It said the first set was 3G and the 2nd set was 2G. It's a Canadian S4(SGH-M919V). Don't know if I can use it, but it was worth a shot. I bought it. The only bad thing I've heard so far is that the LTE radio is turned off, but I have 2 guides with 2 ways to turn it on(basically flashing the T-Mobile modem).

tmobile rom or google edition modem i believe
 
I was in t-mobile today getting a replacement phone for my daughter and I overheard one of the red shirt representatives telling a customer that Metro PCS sim cards don't work with t-mobile devices and vice versa. They were trying to bring their sons' phone over to t-mobile from Metro. What's weird though is he still sold them a sim card for their sons' phone. I guess I must of missed something while I was handling my own business.
 
Would the sony xperia z ULTRA get lte ? 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
