I just activated a iphone 5c from Verizon, just pooped in a metro sim card, called metro gave them the imei and it was activated. I didn't have to change any apn settings, it seemed to load the correct one automatically, data including lte is working just fine
I have a Samsung Galaxy s 4 mini Duos. I called metro and they activated it. The phone/sms work but Data doesn't work. I tried putting in the APN settings listed below but it still doesnt work. Any ideas?

mnc="260"

Remove lte from the name be sure you have itin the right sim slot and make sure data is on
Did you do this with a Sim card you had from a previous phone?
You can get LTE basically anywhere that's currently rolled out but some of the rural places that are now getting LTE on band 2 your phone won't be able to pick it up. Then it's the HSPA in refarmed areas that that you'll get, there is no LTE refarming.Verizon Galaxy S4 on MetroPCS
I know I should at least be able to get HSPA, but the IMEI checker/sim activator on the site denies my IMEI.
Also heard I can get LTE in refarmed areas like NY.
Can someone let me know the truth and how to get it activated?
Yay! You're back! Can you hear me know?

No the HSPA+ bands for T-Mobile are 1900 and 1700/2100 but both the 1700 and 2100 are needed for that frequency to work and the 2100 is a different band so the band for t-mobile is always listed as 1700/2100 or simply 1700 or by the name which is (AWS)how about this one

it says that
2G: GSM 900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz
is the 2100mhz hspa+ band?
I was thinking of buying a Chinese phone for my next phone because they're really cheap and they have great specs.
Oh I see. I was thinking of buying a Chinese phone for my next phone because they're really cheap and they have great specs. I was hoping to break free of the choices that we are given, and stick it to the man haha.
Unfortunately all these great Chinese phones don't seem to have the bands to run high speed internet.
I'll keep looking though
So Basically I need to find a phone with:
1900 band that's 3g or 4g
Or
1700 and 2100 together under 3g or 4g
and they all have to be under gsm as well?
If you want a fairly inexpensive phone, look to Motorola. You can get the original Moto G (it gets HSPA+) for less than $200.00 new, straight from Motorola, or even Amazon. It works great on MetroPCS (I'm using it right now as I type this). For about $220 you can get the LTE Moto G. For $130 you can get the Moto E. Now, the E doesn't have a LED flash, and it only comes with 4 Gig storage, but it can have a microSD card.Oh I see. Actually I'm just looking to learn how to pick a good mobile phone. I'm really not planning on buying a new phone until 2015. I started with a lg optimus m, then I went to a LG motion 4G, and I currently own a lg optimus f6 (which I bought for 79 after rebate, and I got my rebate about 4 months ago). for the most part I think I made good decisions and got more than my money's worth.
my first Android was the LG Optimus M, and I upgraded just to have a fast internet speed
I then chose the Optimus f6 because it has a bigger screen.
honestly I feel like that optimus f6 would last me a while, but it seems that I can afford a new phone every year as long as it is from $80 to $130.

Go sell some of your Plasma for $50 to add in, then get a Nexus 4.

I did, but all it got me was a free movie ticket and a cookiwe
That's for a red blood withdrawal. You get cash money for plasma and you can give it more often. So I hear.
(We just had a UCF college professor spend 30 days as a homeless person. He gave plasma for $ to get hotel rooms with and clean up.)
