since so many people seem to be debating its usefulness before the review's actually up, I figure I should give the head's-up to ya'll that Engadget's posted their 2 cents.
quick spoiler: phone's a 9/10.
Does this mean that we can use the webtop without any docks? If you absolutely need your phone to pull double duty as an entertainment dock, just get a long HDMI cable -- you, and your wallet, will thank us later. -Engadget review

I'm disappointed that Engadget didn't discuss the fact that At&t hasn't rolled out the enhanced backhaul to must of their network when they mentioned the standard 3G-like speeds they got with the Atrix. I'm guessing a lot of potential buyers will walk away with the wrong image.
Joshua Topolsky said:Adding insult to injury, Motorola (or AT&T, who has a habit of doing this sort of thing) has locked the device down in a way that not only prevents you from flashing the phone with a custom ROM, but also won't even let users install apps via email or SD card.
Joshua Topolsky said:we're a little disappointed by the fact that Motorola and AT&T are loading up the Atrix with a considerable amount of bloatware, and there's nothing you can really do about it. Vlingo, a handful of AT&T apps, Blockbuster, and a smattering of other programs all ship on the handset with no option to delete them.
Bonnie Cha said:Of course, you've also got your obligatory AT&T services--AT&T Navigator, AT&T FamilyMap, and AT&T U-Verse Live TV--on there, but for once, you can actually uninstall any of these apps if you wish.
Someone in the engadget review comments mentioned something about there being a special hspa+ sim card. They say your regular sim will not provide the fast speeds. Is this true? I would like to swap my iPhone sim back and forth. I have a micro to regular sim tray.
YESSSSSSSSS. Finally up!
Well, that secures the decision for me. I'll be buying an Atrix :-D
I'm sure this has been posted already:

I've been told this too. There is also a special feature code for HSPA+ and I'm sure that wasn't enabled.
