Official Netflix in Market for Evo 4g 2.x

Im still using Froyo and last night while i was opening netflix(that still works) i got a message saying a new version was available, however I didint see it as an update on the market..... Anyone else?

I got this as well, just hit cancel till the app loads. I think its a default in the app cause of the devices that are supported need to update. I just don't think we can see the app on the market cause we are not supported yet so when you hit update nothing happens cause its not technically there for us.

Ya i hit cancel too, dont want a non working version installed lol Netflix = best app for me at the moment.

I have a brand new EVO 4G with stock Froyo and I can't find this in the market place app. I did find it on the web version but when I attempted to down load it it said that it was incompatible with my phone (HTC PC 36100). Has anyone else seen this problem and know how to resolve this?

They took it down because of the compatibility issues with gingerbread. It'll likely be available again, once the fix update is released.

I've got the CM7 ROM and it won't let me download the Netflix app but I saved it to my SD card and installed it so now whenever I open it it says "New Update" and all that other stuff. Then when I get to the Market, there's nothing to show I guess because Netflix isn't officially supported by Android 2.3 yet.

I've been using it on Android 2.3 ROMs for a while and I have seen absolutely no problems! I wonder why they are giving us a hard way to go...

Can someone link to or send me a working netflix apk. I'm still on 2.2 and would love to have it. I'll just wait to upgrade for that.

Having a very similar problem. I dropped my Evo about 2 weeks ago,(had netflix app, worked fine) and had to have it replaced. When I got my replacement, I could no longer find the netflix app in the market all together. Now I have heard as of lately, (don't quote me on this) that an update to android has rendered the netflix app not being able to update, unusable, or completely pull it off the market. I heard 'netflix' is coming up with a fix for this.

I see people don't like reading any posts before they post.

Has anyone figured out yet if Netflix works with the new patch? Still waiting to update Froyo. Netflix is more important than Gingerbread to me, so I want to be sure!

I know this is redundent, but does anyone have an idea of when the netflix app will be ready for the Evo? I just got my Evo about a week ago...apparently after netflix decided to do this update. It says that it's compatible with my phone, but when I click to install, it's no longer compatible.....kinda frustrating. Again, I know it's a redundent question, but I would like a general idea...a few days, weeks.....ever? LOL.
Oh yeah, if any one knows of another app that will stream movies or TV for free (aside from the Sprint TV) I would appreciate it!!
Thanks!

I deleted the old netflix app on my phone 2days ago thinking it might cause issues with the new update we got today..well now I can't find it anywhere in the market!?!? And I had no luck searching for word on when it will be available back in the market!??! Anyone else have any luck? Or can someone share the app with us that still has it?!

I upgraded to 2.3.3 / 1.24.651.1 this morning and I am still unable to download the netflix app. market place states incompatibility. not rooted.

:mad::mad:

Any ideas?

The Evo is not listed as a approved device for the application, yet. If you did not delete the original application approved for 2.2 on the Evo, it would work now. However, it would ask for updates it cannot do because it is still not an approved device for the application.

Thanks. That makes sense. Do we have any idea when the device list is expected to be updated?

I used the first link from ultraspank and on that page use the link that was dated june 15. I think its the first one. Go to the link on your phone. it downloaded and worked. IT is great. If i didnt get any work done before....Now I'll really be a slacker..................;);););););)

Go to the thread gingerbread impressions find a post from a person named myriam they posted the app and the attachment apk file to download the original netflix app and it looks the same operates the same on our evo's and its perfect for people like me who deleted the original app !!!! Myriam is there name download both attachments use the stock installer when It asks how you wanna install the second attachment and it will work great !!! So until netflix reloads it on the market Il be using this!! Ps when it says new version available cancel cause it won't find it !?!?! And then the app still works wonderfully!!!!

Well, I did the OTA update and it still didn't work. I called Sprint and they said to delete the app and reinstall. Great idea, but it doesn't work because when I go to download the app, it says my EVO is not compatible with my device.

I am running Gingerbread.

Am I missing something?
