[Official] Nexus 6 Accessory Thread

I'll know for sure on Friday if I'm getting this device or not.

I really like my Spigen SlimArmor case on my nexus 5. With the nexus 6 I'll want to keep added bulk from a case to a minimum. I also like the kickstand they have - throw back to my EVO 4G days.

Any of you with the device in hand have that case? How do you like it?

Other than that, any nice cases I'm missing?

Had the kickstand case. Returned it.

Wasn't wireless charging friendly
The kickstand is super flimsy. Seemed like an afterthought addition to the case.

The kickstand can slide up betwixt the two layers of the case if one isn't careful.

Ymmv of course.

I bought these iSmooth screen protectors on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O3OSBHI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I wouldn't recommend them. Good quality, but the front-facing camera cutout is in the wrong spot. Thankfully, they're clear enough that it doesn't matter much to the camera quality. They were cheap enough that I'm not going to return them, but I've ordered a tempered glass protector to put on. I'll report back on the quality when it comes, not scheduled to be in until January 7th.

I think I'm going to order a minimal one and the slim armor with the kickstand. I just really like the idea of having it stand up with the "boomsound" style speakers for media consumption.

I like that this one actually covers the whole device:

But I want the soft feel coating on:

It also looks like Spigen went with 3 completely different button approaches on the 3 cases. This might be one of those where I have to go into a store and take a look before buying.

This case arrived this week. I chose it for how slim it is and that the jack access is excellent. I have to remove my N5 case for some 3.5mm plugs. My N6 arrives tomorrow. I'll post pics of it with the case.

Nice, sturdy, clear hard plastic back with soft rubber side bumpers for corner protection and grip. Doesn't add much more bulk. I'm really liking it, love that the phone's beautiful back shows right through.

Glad to hear, that's the one i ordered.

I have this case on my Nexus 6 right now. The charging cable that came with the phone plugs in fine but my car charger or my other usb cable has trouble staying plugged in. It will either just fall out or be very hard to insert. I did read some reviews on Amazon complaining about this issue so I know its just not me. YMMV. Well, good luck.

I have the Spigen slim armor with kickstand. Its a very nice case but the buttons sit too flush against the case, which makes it hard to find and differentiate between then.

I have a Amzer pudding case on the way. Absolutely love that case for my N5. Lightweight but tough against scratches/scuffs/fingerprints.

Here are the pics with my N6 in a Spigen Slim. I'm vary happy with it. I like the access to the phones's buttons and jacks. Minimal bulk and it texture has more grip than the white N6. Enjoy!

I have the same spigen case with kickstand and feel the same exact way about it. I love how sleek and slim it is but differentiating between the buttons is nearly impossible without looking or spending time locating each. This case would have been so much better with the metallic buttons that are on their other case, or put ridges in the power button like the ones built in the phone.

Yeah, a little button texture or something would have made this case a lot better.

I've been reading the Spigen case with the metallic trim and buttons has several issues, such as loose buttons and the buttons falling out altogether. Anybody with this case, can you confirm/deny?

I got the Spigen Neo and Ultra hybrid. Love both cases. Now I'm still waiting to get a decent screen protector. The spigen ones don't seem to have the cutouts for the front camera. ....seems strange.

Are there any screen protectors out there that fit the phone? I have the MeOne screen protectors and they leave a lot of all four sides of the screen uncovered. They were cheap and came out a week now so before the phone so I wasn't expecting perfection.

I have the skinomi screen protector but haven't installed it yet, I'm actually using the N6 with the factory plastic screen protector still on it, I like the matte feel to it. I'm looking for a good matte permanent solution now. If you guys know and have tested one let me know the brand, thanks.

I'm a little nervous on the Skinomi one. That's a wet application, right? Never tried one.

Ordered the Spigen brand. Should be here Friday. We'll see how those one work.

I'm going to order the ringke slim fit case as well.

http://www.amazon.com/Nexus-Case-Protection-Premium-Motorola/dp/B00O152P7G

I had it on my s3 and really enjoyed it.

Could you post a picture of the buttons when you get it? I have an issue with my iOttie car dock clamping right over the buttons and pressing the volume up or down randomly. The Spigen Ultra has flush buttons that seems to have stopped that, but it added just enough width to make popping it in and out of the dock a bit too snug. If the slim fit would "protect" the buttons, I might give it a try.

My lady bought me a new case! She bought the Spigen Wallet S for the N6. She has good taste... :D

Received today, phone fits very well and looks super sharp. It has a cutout for the rear cam (obviously) as well as the Moto logo. Has a pocket for cash/receipts, and several card holders.

Very nice. Real leather, and has a similar type of rubber bumper/backing plate to secure the phone in the case and protect its edges. It has a little flap with magnetic clasp to keep the cover closed. If you look at the pics in the ad, it looks like a belt clip, but that's the strap with magnet in actuality.

edit: actually, per the ad, it's synthetic leather. Sure smells real though...

I am awaiting shipment of the cases I ordered for mine, I have the bullet proof version for when I am working around the house or traveling or whatever, and the tpu slim fit for everyday pocketability.

I also ordered the pocket battery backup that was recommended here in one of the first posts but I doubt I will need it unless I am travelling. First 2-3 days I am averaging like 20+ hours on a charge, so plenty good for me.

Speaking of charge, anyone have a list of wireless chargers that work with this beast?

Thanks!

Purchased three of those qi infinity chargers. I was not satisfied with the charging consistency. Even though there are three coils you still have to position the phone a certain way.

ditched those and went with the tylt. The choe stadium is also great (larger charging pad) but it's flat on can be difficult to use the handset whilst on that charger.
