Brush teeth. Check tablet. Orders live. Check 64gb. Out of stock. FFS.

Same here. Checked site, nothing. Eat lunch and check again 22 minutes later and showing out of stock on the 64 gig model.

Isn't the whole point of a pre-order to get some information on exactly how many units you need to manufacture?

i told yall they only had a handful of them ready.....

Even if true (which I doubt) once you have one in your cart, you should have x amount of minutes to complete the sale before they remove it from your shopping cart. I literally put in my cart and within 30 seconds it was gone.

Makes me think I wasn't able to buy it.

I will be VERY surprised if they honor my first purchase.

They better, I'll be pissed if my order gets thrown out and then I miss the subsequent "real" start of pre-orders.

Clearly good hasn't learned a damn thing about product launches. They screw this up in some way every year...

Stop making sense.

Come on Google, this is at least 3 releases in a row. It's *pre-order*, so don't tell us it's out of inventory and refuse to take my order because I wasn't expecting it to BE in inventory. I just wanted to get my PRE order in and then get an estimated ship date. What other consumer company doesn't want to take an order?

good point

I'm not working that hard to buy a phone. I'll wait until i can just buy it and get it. My Z Ultra is only 2 weeks old.

It shouldn't never be this much work to pre order something. Let me preorder and tell me I'll get it in December, I don't care.

What I don't understand is, if they're not shipping out for a couple of weeks, why is there limited inventory? Do they not have time to manufacture the number of pre-orders they expect to receive? Don't call this a pre-order if you just have a (very) limited amount of available stock.

Exactly! And then, once the pre-order volume crosses the threshold of estimated initial inventory advise the purchaser they will go on a backorder list, provide a best guesstimate of ship date, and give them the option to proceed with the order or not.
