It HAPPENED AGAIN!!! It said "add to cart." I added to cart, then it went to my cart. Then it disappeared!
What page monitoring program is that?My page monitoring programs haven't detected any changes since prior to 2pm eastern. This is for the 64gb versions only. I'm not monitoring the 32gb versions.
What page monitoring program is that?
I got a 32gb blue and never saw the 64 go on sale. I really wanted the 64 but I'm glad I got what I got.
I was on the button the very second it went live.
Put a 64GB in my cart with _Lightning_speed, not a moments hesitation.
Within a millisecond it disappeared right before my eyes.
Being completely prepared I would have completed the transaction in less than 15 seconds.
Tried again, sold out.
I am just speechless!
never saw the 64gb go live, still waiting
It sounds like the pre-order program is just a test to see the level of enthusiasm. They will adjust production accordingly. I expect my carrier, at&t, to have a device for me shortly after it becomes available. They need to do the heavy lifting.
That's a possibility. The cynical might even posit that it's just a new server-load testing program from Google.
I have two that I wrote myself but I also use a Chrome extension called Page Monitor.
After scouring the blogosphere, it seems a very few 64GB models were successfully ordered before selling out.I thought I read about a few lucky people on XDA being able to grab the 64gb models.
If true, I don't know how they accomplished it.
I was away for awhile. Are they officially out or do they magically appear now an again?
Pre-ordering has become a bad idea. If you don't believe me look over on iMore. People that pre-ordered iphones are still waiting while people that ordered later already have their phones.
I honestly believe that pre-ordereding is merely a test for manufacturing levels. After MSFT got burned on the Surface and now Amazon on the Fire phone, everyone is afraid to ramp up production until they feel safe that the demand will be there. In both of the recent roll outs, the iphone 6 and Nexus 6, the product was somewhat of a gamble. Apple and Google weren't certain how their substantial fan bases would respond.
