I put this link out to a few places to get more people to figure this out.

Anyways.

After seeing some unboxing videos, that midnight blue is freakin purple. Looks like I'll get my first white phone.

Addressing Cost...

We are rather spoiled considering the ultra high value, at least to me, of the Nexus 5 at such a reasonable price.

When evaluating the price, performance, features of the Nexus 6 I feel it's fair. While certainly higher, it is after all... Android, an OS that in my minds eye is superior over all the other mobile operating systems.

On a near daily basis I'm either discovering yet another nice feature, or downloading an update pushed out to us that has real value, or taking advantage of one of the many choices of mods one can use.

Then there's the very real, very high price of the iPhone 6 and 6+. Comparatively little new other than its size, so that the venerable iPhone catches up to Android models. Make no mistake I'm not bashing Apple, nor being critical of their phone, I'm just calling it as I see it.

At the end of the day I do think we're going to find the Nexus 6 and to a much greater extent Lollipop... A Fantastic New Upgrade.

It really surprises me that after so many flubbed launches people still get upset at Google when a launch doesn't go like other company's launches. Google has done nothing this time that they haven't done several times before. People need to realize that if you want to be one of the first adopters of a Nexus phone you will need to put up with the pain in the ass that is the ordering process.

The specs still show band 13 lte, which is Verizon's main LTE band. It's quite possible that the LTE Nexus 7 fiasco could repeat itself where Verizon won't sell it at launch and will only start selling it once they've certified it based on that support page. It's less damning than having them list the LTE bands and having band 13 missing from the list.

Yep. This is why I'm not not mad...yet :)

Yup, it's one thing to purposely pass on the Nexus. It's another entirely to lie when people are making $700 purchases based on what you say. SMH.

Except it appears Verizon might pull a "Nexus One" and it'll be the "Moto S" with a locked bootloader instead of the Nexus 6.

I was part of the irate bunch that bought the HTC Droid Incredible after hoping for the Nexus One. I can't believe that I'm saying this, but you may be right.

The difference being CDMA. Verizon can still use that to prevent voice/3g data from working.

While true, it's better than them not listing that band and thus completely ruling out Verizon. At least this way it can support Verizon hardware wise.

I don't believe the block C ruling requires them to allow a CDMA+LTE device to work on their voice/3g network. And frankly, an LTE-only Nexus6 is pointless. Rare as I use voice, I still need it.

I saw a PB notification for the 32GB version - but less than a second after that, I saw it back to 'out of inventory'...
I'm looking for the 64GB :(

Yeah, I saw that too. I'm on the lookout for a 64GB version in Midnight Blue, but just for kicks I refreshed the product page for the 32GB model, took about 3 - 5 seconds, and it was already showing Out of Stock.

Still haven't seen anything for the higher capacity models yet.

If I can't get it through the Play Store, I'm hoping Motorola themselves put it up for sale on their site, as I have no problem ordering from them as an alternative.

Okay.

Relax everyone! It has been updated with Verizon included!

Typo, just as I expected.

Pitchfork back in closet

Also, works on Verizon out of the box, just as I expected :)
Nexus 6 Working on Verizon Out of the Box. (Updated: With Video) | Droid Life

Oh happy day :D

Great news, that's one less thing to worry about!

I do wish they had confirmed whether inserting a Verizon sim had automatically downloaded some Verizon apps from the Play store as was indicated in an earlier quote by a Google rep. Be curious to know whether that is actually the case or not.

Now back to the task of actually trying to get one of the lil' suckers! ;)

Looks like they modified the page - removed the "Play music 6 month free' offer section.
Weird

Yeah - very. As a Google Play Music subscriber this would have been close to a $50 extra kicker off the price of the phone - to quote Carl Spackler "which is nice". Creating and displaying the offer for something, in hindsight, they clearly knew very few people were going to be able to get seems equally strange. Oh well, just more weirdness to throw on top of the pile.

Keep in mind these "it works on Verizon" videos is only with an already activated SIM. The N7 LTE also worked from the beginning if an activated SIM was used. It was months or longer before Verizon activated new N7.read about what Jeff Jarvis went through. The Verizon saga continues — BuzzMachine

While this is true, the Nexus 7 didn't have CDMA radios weighing it down and thus was exclusively C-Block regulations in play. The Nexus 6 having CDMA radios was an extra variable that could have been an issue.

You're about 4hrs late, but welcome to the party :D

lol whoops! I was so excited, I neglected to see your post hahah

Now I wonder how much flack Verizon is going to give me when I bring in my S4 with micro sim and ask for a nano sim to activate in my GPS N5 :)
