That frustrates me. I ordered on November 12 and my card hasn't even been charged and guys ordering a week after me have already shipped. I'm contacting Google tomorrow.

My Nexus 5 came via FedEx as did my Nexus 6. That's why they each arrived before 10 am. UPS in my area arrives between 6 & 8 pm.

Apparently you're not clairvoyant.

Then you didn't buy either of them from the Google Play Store.

Google contracts Play Store order fulfillment to UPS, so devices are warehoused at the UPS international hub in Kentucky. You don't need to be psychic to know that UPS wouldn't use FedEx to ship from it's own warehouse.

That was my goal.

Given how badly Google has handled Play Store orders so far, there are a lot of people who ordered from Google well before 11/20, and don't have their phones yet, who would be furious if someone who ordered on 11/20 had already received his.

I was just trying to diffuse that powder keg by pointing out that there were questionable details in the claim.

Letting it go, now. :)

Yikes! Good thing I kept the box the N6 came in, so much for my memory, you're right it is UPS. I was certain it was FedEx. And here I simply thought you wanted to argue... sorry, my fault.

So back to your original post, then.

Given your order date, it's almost certain you got a phone that someone else cancelled. It was probably a phone from the first batch of orders, and you seem to have inherited the ship date from the original order as it would appear that Google associated the ship date with the inventory batch, instead of the order date. So, rather than getting a spot at the back of the line when you ordered, you took the place in line of the person whose cancelled order you picked up instead.

So it would seem that Google order processing for the Play Store can't handle processing sales in the order they were placed.

It sucks that most of us who ordered earlier don't have our phones yet, but we can't hold that against you. That's on Google/UPS.

Congrats on the good luck, and enjoy the phone. :)
 
Crap. Missed the first delivery attempt. Snuck up on me. I'll be at work for the second, no delivery on Thanksgiving, so I get to wait until Friday.

Seems to far.

And they didn't leave the attempted delivery slip so I can't schedule a pick up.

This was my third order.

The first one I placed the very moment they went live on release night. I placed it in the cart, entered my payment info quickly, saw it confirm then the phone literally disappeared out of the cart. I read where others experienced this same situation.

I setup my computer to constantly monitor the site. Two days later it alerted. I quickly placed another order which went through. The following day I got an email cancelling the order.

Third order was last Thursday, the one that actually went through and shipped to me. Google certainly makes a mess out of launches.

That's been my experience. Google's good about not charging until it ships.

But to stay on topic on this thread, I was able to get a feel of the N6 at a local T-Mobile store, and I have to admit, it wasnt nearly as big as I thought it would be. Have I been brainwashed? I kept thinking the phablets were going to seem super large, so when I finally started holding them, they seemed smaller than I imagined. The only thing I didnt like was the stores in my area have the devices tethered too tightly, so you can really lift them up and get a feel for them in the hand. You definitely cant get an idea of how they would fit on the hip or in a pocket...

$50 is the new $20 ;)

I got $50 off when I got my Sixus and my 360 as a bundle from AT&T, although I had to "complain until i was blue in the mouth" to get it.
