My keys are bright red... matching the red of the top speaker accent.
I also can't see any light spillage onto the screen from LEDs. I hope your screen is seated correctly.
 
Just got my Rezound this evening. Coming from the Thunderbolt this phone is a huge step up. I love it! Feels absolutely perfect in the hand, not too big at all. TB felt much bigger. Screen is super crisp, iPhone 4 like. By far the best phone I've ever had.

That was my thought exactly- the edge of the screen seems slightly raised from the bezel all the way around. Yours?

I'm also wondering if the LEDs under the soft keys are too bright, making the soft keys pink (since the red color is in the glass, not the actual LEDs), and the light leak more obvious...I hate to exchange phones, but this might be going back for another tomorrow...

Wait to see if the Nexus comes out in the next few days, that way you have a legitimate excuse if you want to switch phones and maybe avoid the restocking fee.

True...out of curiosity, I was going to ask the sales associate if the GN was going to be carried in-store. When he fumbled around trying to insert a micro-sim for 15 minutes, I figured "what are the odds he even knows what the GN is, let alone whether it will be carried in-store?":rolleyes:

Truthfully though, I am really digging this phone...just not the pink soft keys...

From what I've read it's going to be order only. I guess Google wants to revisit their previous attempt at websales only. Oh and not sure if you'll get to return the Rezound for a different phone without a restocking fee. From what I remember, if it's defective they want to replace it for the same device but maybe they'll be out of stock and offer something else.

I think you're right about this. I don't want a different phone though, as long as I can find one without the color/light issues. I love everything else about this one.

My screen is raised also. Also I am colorblind do red/pink, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference, that said--it looks red to me. Perhaps take it in a store and compare with the one on display?

:rolleyes: That is a killer deal though if you aren't grandfathered in to unlimited data. 4gigs of data for the 2gig price...

Curious... still, i bet you get better battery life if you were to disable 4g. Seems no matter what it is constantly searching for 4g service

I'll have to try to shoot some video on mine here shortly. The knock on the Thunderbolt's video was low volume recording. I'm curious to see if that's been resolved.
 
I got tired of waiting for the Gnex, and felt the Razr would not satisfy my power needs for the phone. This Rezound reminds me a little of the 1978 Chevrolet Caprice. It just does its job very well. Not really a beauty, but kind of stylish in its own way. Not great gas mileage, but not bad mileage either. You are very safe in it and you can depend on it to do what you need from it. I must say that so far I am impressed. If the battery turns out to last a full day, and there are no glitches associated with constant reboots or software going crazy, I might just keep this one. HTC just seems to build very functional and dependable devices. Not the coolest, or the most high powered, or the most cutting edge, but very solid phones. I have returned in the last six months the following phones- Samsung Charge, Moto Bionic, Apple 4S. I am not easily sold on bug riddled phones. We will see how it goes with the Rezound, but so far I am very impressed, primarly with speed, signal, screen, UI, form and function, feel, and build quality. I think it will depend heavily on battery life and bugs. Thumbs up for now.

I actually thought the sound was pretty good. I would post it, but I don't know how to get it from my phone to the forum. I emailed it to myself here at work to get it on my work computer but I haven't gotten it yet, and I don't know if I will. :( I logged onto the forum on my phone, but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to get it off the phone! LOL

My screen is slightly raised as well but I'm not getting any color bleed or pink keys. Even if this is some type of minor production flaw the phone is functioning perfectly and I have no issues with it so I'm happy.

I'm actually waiting for 3 smackdowns which should come out sometime this week or next by the better reviewers (lisa, aaron and hum what was the third - oh yea kallek).
 
Sure this is mentioned somewhere, but I haven't seen it.

Most of my icons and the dimensions in several of my apps don't fit the screen correctly. There is extra space or not enough space. I saw someone mention somewhere that many apps probably had not been adjusted for HD screens yet. I would think more people would be complaining though. Is this the same for everyone, or have I missed something somewhere?
 
Anybody else notice the power button to be pretty flush and kinda hard to push? Not that big of a deal but was wondering if the phone was made this way or of its defect.

Sadly, it was made that way. same with the volume rocker.
