[OFFICIAL] Show off your G3 camera photos!

By Special Request...

Want to show off your maximum resolution, multi-MB pictures from your personal site like Flickr?

Cool!

Please put them under the HIDE tags, conveniently found under the ADVANCED posting tool.

We'll all get to see them and that will help everyone's browser from slowing down under the page load.

Thanks! :)

So, we all know that a camera is usually only as good as the conditions you take them in. A crappy camera used in a perfectly lighted scene, with still subjects can make for a great photo. That's not realistic though.

So here are some indoor, low light, flash vs. no flash, important moments from my families new arrivals! Anyone looking for a kitten? LOL!

The picture of the cat chasing the laser was in the living room with a big window letting a good amount of natural light in. The picture with the kitten that has his eyes open is the first time we had seen any of them open their eyes and I took that picture last night right before going to bed (obviously I was not going to hit him with the flash cause that would have been cruel). The cat bed it in a closet. Lighting in the closet is dim and only a little bit of light from the attached bathroom bleeds in. It's really not very bright in there so this was a good test. I would say the G3 produced an acceptable result in a poorly lit room. Flash seems to help as you can see and colors still look pretty natural.

I was happy with the results...but not blown away. It captured enough detail to serve it's purpose. These were taken with the W10M (10 MP, wide) setting and just using the basic camera with touch to focus/capture.

Just testing out the camera some more and figured I'd post some of the test shots. Color reproductions seems very good. On screen, the colors are a little off but when viewed on my laptop, my car's color is very accurate. On screen my car looks a little more neon yellow and a little less mustard yellow. I wouldn't say I have a professional eye for photo quality, but these look pretty good to me. Colors, focus, white balance, exposure...well, I can't tell if there are any problems. I suppose it would be cool if I had a few more phones to compare these same shots but on it's own, I think the G3 performs really well outdoors.

1st is how the Magic Focus turns out w/o choosing a new focus.
2nd is focused on patch.
3rd is truck.
4th is ball.

Looks better on my phone. Better to host them and link them I suppose. I ain't got time for that! I'm exploring this contraption!

Some more pictures from my Instagram.

The phone is being destroyed because the HTC One is sealed and it got wet; so I have no way of getting the data off, etc.

hey I went to that car show also, I'm from SD Mission Valley area.

I'm also a photography enthusiast more on my full frame DSLR but I find this camera interesting, macro is really good a little softing on the side, maybe its just me not holding it steady. I really like the magic focus, same as lytro camera very interesting.

I've only had the G3 for 2 weeks and the Sun finally came out, though it was a shopping day so no hiking. :(

edit: direct link for viewing full-size, just hit Original Size under the photos: http://www.pbase.com/ajuett/misc
Generally I don't upload full-sized as not everyone has the the 100% viewing capability.

I did manage to get these 2:

Exposure Time 1/1075 sec
Aperture f/2.4
ISO Equivalent 50

Exposure Time 1/729 sec
