oh, it wasn't sarcasm, just an exaggeration. i've got real things going on that i should be pissed about.

if i go into bb tomorrow and see people who know nothing about this phone walking out the store with it, while i wait until tuesday (didn't get delivered fri due to ______, no sat or sun delivery, mon is a holiday)...yeah, i'll be upset.

I highly doubt it would be available to the stores tomorrow. Tech companies tend to like Wednesday or Friday releases for some reason.

I tried to do ups my choice and because it is going to my work, it will not let go through all the steps.

I'm logged in to the My Choice, but I guess I don't know how to use it. This is all I see on it.

A user on Wirefly's Facebook page asked "when will the EVO ship?" This was Wirefly's response:

Wirefly said:
We still do not have a solid date on when we will receive the EVO 4G LTE from Sprint. As soon as we have that date we will post about it on our Facebook page. When we do receive the EVO 4G LTE in our distribution center we will turn them around and start shipping them out within an hour. We understand that our customers that pre-ordered are very excited to get this exciting new phone and we will do everything we can to get them to our customers as soon as possible.

The bold part makes me think that they have not received any EVOs.

Am I the only one who is finding it difficult to get any work done today? I'm glad I work from home, no supervisor to yell at me. Well, except for me.

Anyone have any updates on Best Buy pre-orders? I came to the party late (ordered May 17th) and my order status just shows "back-ordered"

Is this similar to what others are seeing on their status page, or am I out of luck waiting for the next shipment?

I got my OG EVO on launch day 2010, and I'm extremely excited to be a part of the new LTE launch.

Anxiously awaiting!!!

Well, I did get my email from Sprint with a May 11th estimated delivery date buried in it LOL! Too funny. Anyway, I though I would attempt to reroute my Evo to where I will be for the holiday weekend. NO GO. UPS was willing but Sprint has put a caveat on the phones not to change. The UPS rep suggested I call Sprint, which of course sent me into peals of laughter...I might never see my new Evo if I try to change anything with the order at this point so I will just wait. I did manage to make sure they won't require a signature for it, can leave it at the door and I will have a neighbor pick up and put inside my house so it is ready and waiting when I get back from holiday! So, a little disappointing end to this pre-order saga because everyone will be playing with their new phones all weekend except me, but it is what it is...

Tried to cancel last week and they said yes but the system never processed it....Never showed canceled so spent an hour on the phone Monday and they confirmed that they were never able to cancel the order and I will receive on the 24th. I put my order number in today and they say that it is cancelled....WhT?

Now they have redone the order and will not receive for 2-5 business days.

Jeez, seems like everyone but me pre-ordered from Sprint. I pre-ordered from Amazon. Anyone have any guesses when we should expect to receive ours?

well, just called my BB

she told me that their system says they "were supposed" to receive their first shipment of LTEVOs on the 20th...oookkk. but obviously they did not.

secondly, she has no ETA when they will receive them now....right

thirdly, she said first shipment will only have 7 LTEOVs in it so naturally I asked if my name was in the first 7. Her response: "I don't know, I can't find the list...I think my manager has it but he is not in atm"

Sooo, you're a technology store that created a pre-order list for the most anticipated phone of the year (yh, screw you iphone!) on a very limited initial stock order and you lost/misplaced the only paper list you made for that?? Why do we have computers, again? Or copiers for that matter

I guess I'm a bit frustrated and should give these guys more leniency but seriously???

*takes a chill pill*

At least ucfish, they do apparently do have a phone for you. That should be good news! My email referenced a Ready Now info link which was not active; however thanks to our neo buddy at InsideSprintNow blog, he already posted it earlier this morning. https://insidesprintnow.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/htc-evo-4g-lte-readynow-guide-isn.pdf
I did find this list of tutorials on our new Evos which are slow to load but be patient…

I got the same deal from my BB. He was "some had been released for Sprint pre-orders. Had no clue when they would get them in." Bleh ... Guess I can wait given price.

If posted, sorry. Hadn't noticed.

EDIT: I swear I started it earlier than minute:52. heh

Just wanted to take a moment for a few things -

First and foremost, on behalf of AF staff, many thanks to you all for being cool and keeping it real. What can I say, you cats rock! :)

Second, how about a quick look at what Inside Sprint Now has said, and I hope no one gets mad at me, my take on what I'm seeing.

I think that ISN has proven to be a reliable source, as evidenced by UPS collaboration that phones are in transit.

ISN was crystal clear and insistent that phones began shipping late Monday. Like most everyone I assumed that those would be customer phones, but when I didn't see these happy posts yesterday, it made sense to me in terms of rhythm and the holiday and I think that the ISN tweet this morning confirmed it - they want to be sure of shipping and delivery status to stores before announcing the launch date.

Hope that I am not wrong, quatloos are on the line here, but I believe that the launch date will be announced today and that because shipping started Monday, I still remain optimistic that the launch is before the holiday. I should probably hedge that bet to save face but I am having none of it.

I say that the launch is by Friday.

And I am doubling my money to 800 quatloos! :)

I agree. That makes more sense. You always give the retailers some cushion to set up, place in inventory, etc.. Now that we see phones going out today with 2nd day it would more than likely mean a Friday release for retail. Sadly I'll be out of town, but maybe I'll just call around and see if where I'm at has some local RS dealers that have the phone in stock.

Well the UPS guy just rode through...no package for me. I wouldn't trust the UPS My Choice too much...unless a second driver comes through this afternoon which is possible.
