[Official] Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE Pre-release thread - Sprint official launch is Saturday, June 2

Well I now have a tracking # from Sprint I pre ordered on day 1 promptly at 9am and my tracking status is only a label at this moment..and it also says delivery estimate is May 25th but sprints website since the phones were released from customs has said the 24th of May and still does but Sprint is shipping my device ups and It's 2day shipping :( :( :( so if people that didn't pre order get theirs first as in 2maro I will NOT BE HAPPY !!!!!
 
Now who is going to take off or leave work early to play?

I can't tomorrow but I asked for Friday off so I have a nice long 4 day weekend to play.
 
Okay strangely enough my order has changed to re scheduled delivery to May 24th just since last time I checked when I wrote my above post. so now my scheduled delivery is May 24th :-) :-) :-) and it has been scanned at Louisville, ky as origin scan obviously we already knew that so let the tracking games BEGIN!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I have tomorrow and Friday off just because I always have a ton of vacation time that I never use up so a few months ago I scheduled these days off just to extend my holiday weekend. OO what a bonus that my phone will be here tom now I can sit with my chin on the back of the couch watching for a UPS truck to show up:p

pretty much useless but there it is. I guess I won't cancel with them just yet. it was $119 after all..
 
When I ordered my Transformer tablet UPS rode by my condos in the am and I called them but then later on he came back. I was told from UPS that 1st or 2nd day air people get delivered 1st and that he could come back to me later and he did. So hopefully he will come back to you. And hopefully BB will be sending out that email tonight.

Well the UPS guy just rode through...no package for me. I wouldn't trust the UPS My Choice too much...unless a second driver comes through this afternoon which is possible.

I really want Android again and the EVO LTE is the best one now for Sprint and looks like best for sometime. I had an EVO and went to (cough) iPhone 4S and now coming home again to EVO, now full circle. I still can't believe the lack of custom-ability and how crippled and locked down the iPhone still is after all these years.
 
I'm on the phone with Sprint right now, trying to get them to move my upgrade up from June 1 to today or tomorrow (I want to get the phone through Best Buy).. Its been 25 min now. They said i can do it now but it has to be over the phone. Well no real point then since if i ordered today.. probably be June 1 before i got it anyway. They said there is no national launch date as of yet and only the pre orders are being filled. Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc will not release the phone until the national launch date.

I'm also coming back to the EVO from the 4S. My reason for leaving isn't anything to do with the 4S, which is a perfectly fine phone. It's not as customizable as an Android but I knew that going in, and the apps in general are more polished so there is a trade-off.

The reason I'm switching is because I was getting horrible speeds on Sprint, so I went to AT&T, managed to get unlimited data through a loophole, and within a month AT&T started throttling unlimited data accounts. That's absolute BS, IMO, and I won't continue to give my money to a company that treats its customers so poorly. Luckily, in the interim, Sprint has started network vision and LTE is coming active in my city this month, so the timing is perfect.
