Through a lil research and copy/pasting my order number into a link I was able to see this much:

Shipping Method Overnight: Next Day PM

I don't have a tracking number but it looks like it's going to go out overnight :D

I got this from over at XDA but figured some of you don't read there and would like to know this info:

Heres how I got my tracking number:

1. Log in to Sprint and click See my bill, then click order history on the right, copy your order number for your EVO 4G LTE (Should start with a DM)

2. Put https://myaccountportal.sprint.com/servlet/ecare?inf_action=orderLines&orderId= in your web browser, and paste your DM order number after the equals sign.

3. Get your account number from the resulting output.

4. Go to UPS.com and on the left where the tracking text box is, click more options, then click track by reference. Input your 9 digit acct number in the "shipment reference" box and click track (you shouldn't need to mess with any other options, just input the account number). That got me this..

Note that steps 1-3 seemed to have worked for everyone but step 4 did NOT work for me and a few others...perhaps it will later today.

That's definitely good news but were you able to get a shipping date as well?

A shortage of stock? This really is the true successor to the Evo 4G.

Yep, but those that pre ordered OG EVO did get there's on launch day. Those that waited ended up ridding in the back of the short bus for quite sometime. Glad I pre-ordered OG EVO then and think the same with LTEVO now. Looking like this might be almost impossible to walk off the street and pick up a LTEVO. I am reminded again of that darn EVO vs IPhone YouTube cartoon.

Nope...but it looks like some other people have gotten a tracking number already through this method and/or through UPS My Choice alerts so I'm guessing they are all gonna go out today.
I've got UPS My Choice set up to alert me the day before I'm getting a package so when they have a tracking number it should let me know right away :D

I hope my post didn't come across as "the sky is falling." But I saw the article and thought it worth mentioning. I do have high hopes that we will in fact get the phones on the 18th.

I also failed at step 4 but good info regardless....

No worries, I think it was a community service for you to speed us up on that one.

After all, it's prerelease so we're all here to discuss this stuff. :)

And s4gru.com is a top site with full integrity.

Nobody bats a thousand, so let's hope we're right and they're wrong on this. ;) :)

My friend was in BB today and there expecting the phones and told her to come back on the 18th that it was for sure. I joined the phone freedom to get an additional 50 off the phone and today I called and they said you also get a 50 dollar gift card inside the box for buying before July 7th to use at a later time. I wasn't sure on that one. I thought that was just for people who turned in an EVO that they got 50 plus the extra card but he told me no I will get one too just wrapped in the box to be used at a later time plus the 50 phone freedom to use that day towards phone. Sounds good to me.

Another reviewer said that you could definitely feel the outer band.

Also, as side note another reviewer mentioned it was the fact the metal side band was there gave LTEVO a more well built sturdier feel. I think LTEVO being so thin and light. If LTEVO was anything but metal not sure it would feel so well constructed. I feel like I could crush a droid razor in my hands and with little effort, does not inspire confidence, where LTEVO will. (Metal band) IMHO.

WTH! I just did this and it says "samsung D720 device"

Enjoy your new Nexus S!

Are you sure you copied the right order number? Several people have accidently copied their old order numbers and then proceeded to have a heart attack when looking at the information given.

DOH, :o

You're right, same date last year I ordered a Nexus S for a family member. Weird, same day, 5/8 and the order shows processing as well. Should I call Sprint and ask when I'll be receiving my Nexus S?? :D

Haha my Evo 3D still shows processing too...I half expect one of them to show up at my door as well.

I pre ordered at BB as well. I was also told that pre orders in that store did not meet anticipated levels, and there would be plenty to go around.

I think the short supply articles are just being posted to add to the hype and hysteria. Just making the whole thing uber epic.

I wouldn't worry about not getting the phone, they've got em. ;)

I don't think that we've discussed bloatware very much.

Bottom line, this phone doesn’t have it, just Sprint Zone, and personally, I don't think that being able to access my bill or get customer service on the line with *2 and a menu tap is bloatware.

If you are a NASCAR or Sprint TV fan, the user guide tells you how to download that stuff. And if you want to freeze anything, according to the One X forum, Sense 4 doesn't lock you out of that ICS feature. (The ultimate, final answer for those who wouldn't or couldn't root and insisted on automatic task killers.)

I have been complaining about bloatware since I joined here.

Bravo Sprint for finally getting it right. :)

HTC EVO 4G LTE Shows Impressive Battery Life on Sprint's 3G Now Network

This seems like a much better take on the battery issue ie. NOT running it with the non-existent LTE, radio turned on lol. I'm very excited for this phone's battery.
The biggest problem is that it's anecdotal. From my read, the "14 hours" was the reviewers daily use of the phone, which is useful, but only marginally so from a comparison standpoint.

Sites like Engadget are using a battery drain script (web pages reloading or video or something), so even though they are not transparent when it comes to the methodology, at least we should be able to theoretically compare common performance across phones.

What we really need is transparent methodology (why has no review site released an app that allows users to test battery and develop crowdsourced battery life information?) and in addition multiple tests of the different variations of radios on/off (wifi, BT, LTE, 3G) across multiple phones to really get a sense of the battery impact.

...which means the closest we'll get is having to wait for the AnandTech review whenever that one comes out.
