Since I have some Raleigh friends on here... I'm getting mine from the Best Buy Mobile at Triangle Town Center Mall. Still no update, phone call, or email. From earlier the guy said he would call me when they got the phone today or tomorrow. It sounds as if someone was told that all Raleigh locations except Crabtree have already confirmed getting the phone? Who knows.. I'm going to give the store a call at 8PM just to be proactive if I don't hear anything before then.

Still waiting. I was planning on getting BB insurance, but if I have to wait on line for half an hour or more, I don't know if it's worth it.

UPS tracking still shows my phone sitting on the dock in Louisville, KY. Four different reps at UPS have told me four different things. One even told me it was delivered to the wrong address, but it can't be traced until tomorrow. I am jealous. Enjoy your new phones guys.

How did you do that? When you pre-order online, the only option is to ship it you your house.

I went in to preorder. They told me that I would not receive it today. So I went back home and routinely checked my email and there it was.. your pre-order is ready for pick up. I get back to BB and the sales girl tells me that some type of "order to sale" came down from corporate like two minutes after I left out the store the first time. She told me that they had 70-80 preorders.

I ordered at 2:47pm and got the email for pick-up at 2:54pm.

I would like to thank Android Forums and all the the fine people here because following this post is the reason I went down BB in the first place. I was going to go through a corporate Sprint store, but no Sprint store has them or RS!

Yeah, that's it. I'm not signing up for any BB add-ons. On top of that, I'm probably not going to be buying phones from then again. I've been here for 40 minutes. In that time the line has moved up by one customer. This is absurdity.

As far as the phone not being touch to be activated, that can happen and more than likely what did! The ESN (Electronic Serial Number) on the side of the box was scanned before it was shipped to you!

Out here on the 210 at 2:15am this morning, some lady was going the wrong way on the freeway, smacked into a UPS big rig pulling two trailers for which the big rig ran into the center divider, the second trailer whipped around into the opposite lanes, and the first trailer caught fire.

Wrong-way driver killed, UPS driver has mild injuries and I do hope no phones were harmed.

I'm now being helped and there's an activation error so the BB clerk is on the phone looking about half as exasperated as I am. I don't think anything I've bought in any category has been as much trouble as this phone. Makes me look forward to buying a house.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh i just got the call ahhhhhhhh it's here.... Ahhhhhhhh my car is getting fixed and i was using my mom's car.... Ahhhh but she took it back.. Ahhhhhhh imma walk to the mall it's only like 3 miles away ahhhhhhhhhhh sorry for the yelling!!

Very jealous of all of you guys getting them from Best Buy.

I've called my Best Buy (San Bruno, CA) four times and have gotten four answers.

The first girl told me that they were supposed to come out a few weeks ago but got backordered, and would not get any more in stock until next week or the week after. After I told her how they were stuck in customs, she got her manager on the phone who told me that it will arrive on the 24th and will be available for the pre-orders on the 25th.

I call back today (24th) and they did not receive it in their shipment and say the expected delivery date is undetermined. When I mentioned that folks at other Best Buy's around the nation were fulfilling their pre-orders already, she said I must have gotten wrong information, or must be getting phones confused.

I called another Best Buy (in Colma, CA) today, and she said Sprint has not announced a launch date and they would not receive any until Sprint does so. She said she checks the computer updates every day, and there is NO mention of the Evo LTE.

I am seriously in no rush to get my phone, but just the general lack of knowledge by Best Buy employees is off-putting.

I was finally able to get through to the Crabtree store #0299 around 6:00PM EDT and got the standard "they've been held up in customs" line from the first person I talked with. I explained that the pre-orders had indeed cleared customs and that the other Raleigh locations were showing inventory and contacting people to come pick up their phones. She checked again on the computer and said she had a record of 17 pre-ordered phones, but no record of delivery or inventory. She then transferred me to the manager of the mobile phone department who gave me the standard line that "they are not in our inventory yet", but would not commit to telling me if pre-orders had been shipped or had arrived. He did say that he had 3 unopened containers that arrived today, but he didn't know what was inside. I decided to drive to the Cary store after work and pre-order the phone again just in case they get a cancellation or receive new stock before the clowns at the Crabtree store get their act together.

BEST BUY PROCESS:

hello cool cats and dogs, i have LTEVO from my best buy sitting in my hand, just thought i would walk you through the purchase process at BB in case it hasn't been discussed yet

a 50 coupon is applied at purchase for pre-ordering and was taped to my box ready to go so they didn't forget.

the 50 phone freedom thing is at time of purchase, when they look up your phone number it will tell them you have applied for phone freedom

another 50 gift card for trading in your EVO is applied at time of purchase as well (just tell them you intend to do this if you are so they know ahead of time)

everything was painless as can be, walked out 50 bucks less but an LTEVO richer!!!!!!

Oh man...if it weren't for my wanting to wait to see all the superphones, prior to making a decision, I totally would've been on board with this. I just hope that there are some similar deals, once I decide to take the upgrade plunge (probably around September).

Ok, who hijacked the BB delivery trucks in the SF Bay Area?:( It seems like all the other BBs are getting their shipments in. Emeryville and Pinole stores still haven't received them. One of the reps did say they should be in late tonight or early tomorrow since they didn't come by this afternoon. I sure hope I can get mine before the weekend!

PS: whoever hijacked the trucks PM me. I'm sure we can work something out.:p

To everyone who did not get their phone, I hope you recieve it soon. It is worth the wait.

To everyone who received the phone....... now you know why I have fallen in love with it........................................

After my phone arrived my 1 year old through my old crapple iPhone 4 in the toilet, he knew exactly where it belonged, lol.

So I'm sitting here waiting for UPS so just to torture myself, I thought "let's compare."

And because I'm a gluten for punishment, let's see what goodies I have waiting...

Oh my, I'm shaking with anticipation!

I think you tortured yourself enough keeping that Moment for so long ;)

Soooooo do Best Buys have them in stock to sell or is it filling only preorders right now? I'm as usual getting different answers from stores.
As of right now they are taking care of PreOrders ONLY if they(BestBuy) read the memo that was released last night correctly. Until Sprint puts out an actual release date for the general public. I know Best buy over stocked there stores but with only a few extra phones.
Best thing to do is go to your local BB store and do a preorder and maybe if that store hasn't used up their backstock you might get one. You'll get an email about an half an hour later letting you know if you can pick one up or not.

Congrats to everyone who got their shiny new toys. God knows when I'm going to get mine. Tomorrow? Next week? The saga continues.

To expand on my experience with Best Buy, I just want to say that I am COMPLETELY THROUGH WITH THEM.

I ended up getting an email at 7:19pm saying that my phone was ready for pick up.

I immediately dash out the door and drive half an hour to the Best Buy. When I get there, the guy looks at my email confirmation and says "No, I know you got the email, but we are not releasing the phones until tomorrow."

I ask, "Why is that? Every other Best Buy in the nation is filling pre-orders already?"

He goes and calls his manager who basically said the email was sent in error because they just received shipment in the store. Although they have the phones physically in the store, they are not releasing them until tomorrow and I would need to come back.

Basically, they told me to take a hike.

There wasn't much I could do with the manager out and some clueless guy there so I just had to leave with no phone in hand. So, I wasted a few bucks in gas and an hour of my life with nothing to show for it. I'm completely through dealing with Best Buy.
