Root Official theme request and port status thread

***I have this posted at xda...but not everyone uses xda so......:eek:***

It seems like lately a lot of people (judging from posts/pm's/irc/xda) are getting into theming or starting to port.themes which is great.

However the possibility exists that multiple people may end up working on the same thing, so to clear up confusion or the potential for it i thought id start a thread for all of us to indicate what is being worked on and by who.

Just reply with what you have in the works and ill update the op to reflect it....once the theme is out ill remove it.

Also i figured that rather than take up a bunch of threads with theme requests it would be a good idea for requests to go here with links to the threads requested.

I realize not everyone uses xda exclusively (personally i consider af my *home* forum) but i have yet to see any thmes released for this phone that didn't make it here so this seems to be the best place for it.

If anyone thinks this is a bad idea speak up and if it seems to be ill abandon it...,but worth a shot i suppose.

*there are several themes vacated by retrokid223 that need.to be picked up for froyo future updates: nextheme, incognito, white aosp (obviously not for aosp builds), and regular gingerbread* (i had already picked up revolution and none of the others interested me...although if no one else does i guess id consider regular.gb)
 
I would love to see an updated port of the regular gingerbread theme. Heck, I'd love to give a crack at theming myself, but the information on doing so is so overwhelming and spread around that it's hard to get a firm grasp on where to start exactly.

Whats missing from the original gb theme that you d like to see?

Oh nothing I suppose, I'd just like for it to be as close to stock/aosp gingerbread as possible. Maybe it already is, I'm just not sure since I've never personally used a GB device myself.
 
Ive messed around with some themes in the past but actually prefer stock, i was just wondering if i could replace the aosp lockscreen thats in dl09 clean with the aosp lockscreen in your matted blues themes, or an aosp lock that has the same blue in the stock battery icon, just so everything matches.

Yeah you can swap out the lockscreen icons....its not too hard

Retros theme is pretty close to stock....just his dialer isnt themed....i made the gb dialer for other themes so that could be pulled and rezipped
 
What would be the chances of a camo theme? No idea what you would use, just a request :D. Could you do it nit?
 
Well there three requests.for camo. I'm thinkin realtree aphd! Lol. God that would be awesoooome!

yeah, i personally have never seen one like that....id have to imagine someone somewhere did something along those lines though

By the way nit...I just got done flashing supah clean! Went flawlessly! Omg its awesooooome! Lol imma go flash neongt theme.....brb
 
Neongt took! Woooohoooooo! Imma post a screenie later.....nit is the man! Now for the kernel.....any suggestions for supah clean v.4 with neongt theme?
 
I would like to see the superdark theme and Nitsuj17's purple and red themes continued...I'm on the purple now and it's really nice, I was showing it off yesterday at work :p

yeah galaxy red is pretty popular but its as updated as i think it ll go...of course it will be ported to whatever roms/os versions we're on...purple will get ported to 2.2 tw whenever that is i suppose...it really needs a lot of work actually having looked it over, but didnt seem like it was worth the work to fix it for dj05 atm...i guess i could improve it when i port it though :o

So no camo for the boyz above eh ;). Frankly I've never even seen a camo theme you could use as your starting point

Edit: nevermind there is some and adw even has some themes, which I know are different than the themes you make. Wow there is a nice submarket for camo afterall, including pink camo :p
