Yep we can try it out because I may never get another chance either.:( My husband thinks the Gnex is too big so he isn't getting one, my friends either have iphones or are on Sprint... I hope it is Thursday just because I don't want to have to wait another day.

Is the Corporate Store inside Stratford Square?

I live midway between Stratford and Woodfield so will choose either the Bloomingdale store or the Schaumburg store on Higgins.

Wow, I'm not even getting a Nexus (couldn't resist the Black Friday Rezound sale: no regrets), but it's fun to share the spirit. Where's the harm? We don't get to act like kids frantic to open a new present once in a while? :)

I saw those, but they are further away from me or I don't know where they are since i'm more familiar with Virginia. I was also afraid of them selling out and I don't know if I'll be able to get there when they open.

The kiosk in stratford shows up when you search on Verizon's site (and recently upgraded to a "main level" large kiosk, near the food court, but the store I'll probably go to is the one on Army Trail near the street, directly in from of Best Buy. The one where you have to sort of park in the Olson Rug or KFC lot because Verizon is on the front side of the building and has no visibility and only teeny tiny signage facing the main parking lot.
 
I guess this can be changed to UNOFFICIAL now. All the flaming I got for telling you it would not be out this week.

The folks at my local VZW corporate store have been awesome at playing possum and not answering questions of the most general variety. The Radio Shack down the street, in contrast, has been beyond helpful. They have one phone. I held it in my hands Saturday afternoon, and as of today my name is on the box. I have the names of the manager and two employees, and they have my name and number. Unless somehow the out-the-door price there is significantly higher than at the VZW store, the Shack has earned my business. I'll use the LivingSocial voucher on accessories, or maybe a Droid4 for the wifey's Christmas present.
