[Official] What Changes Have You Noticed After Updating to 2.2 (Froyo)?

I have noticed that the stock browser has had a nice little apperance fix. Also, I have found that the stock browser is a lot faster and more efficient.

Loving the update so far!
 
Just go download better keyboard - I think it is alot better than the stock keyboard anyways...only $2.99 I think
 
I have to restart mine every now and again to get it to actually play the right ringtone, otherwise no matter what ringtone i select, it just plays some weird beeb noise when someone calls.
 
"Corporate Directory" app is gone now. You can no longer search your Exchange GAL (Global Address List) for people that aren't already in you Contacts.
From within the email app it does search the GAL for email addresses, but no way to find phone numbers.

Oh, I'm there with you, but it is also mentioned in another thread as well. astro pro and doc2go key in particular are making me crazy.
 
One more thing: wasn't 2.2 supposed to resolve the issue with contacts photos not being synced with Exchange/Outlook? It worked fine in Droid 1 so it's one more thing that seemingly didn't get addressed.
 
so far i am enjoying the updated UI. still checking them all out. has anyone noticed that available memory drops quickly?

also, my quadrant score is 1418.

My PIN works fine with or without the my exchange account configured. Removing the account allowed me to remove the PIN screen, but that doesn't really help. I'm not sure what you're getting at?

Just to correct myself. I think the no lock screen tools will work in 2.2 as long as you don't have a pin/password/patter screen - and possibly only in the case where the secure locking was forced on you by exchange email settings.

Also the latest switch pro fixed the flashlight problem.
 
Did we always have a News & Weather widget choice? If we did, I don't recall ever seeing it before! Not bad, but I have to say mos tof Moto's stock widgets are butt ugly!
 
my facebook app no longer loads the content
alawys says an error had occured, and it timed out.
but my browser works just fine, so its not the connection.

also the handscent timestamp is way off now, wut the heck..
can anyone provide some assistance
 
Try Smart Keyboard. I was irritated with the stock keyboard for many reasons. I also don't like Swipe.

Smart Keyboard works far better. It offers several enhancements and is very customizable. Give it a shot, they offer a free version as well as a purchased version.

SwiftKey Beta kicks butt too! Learns your words, saves them, predicts your sentences. According to the stats, I've saved myself over 4300 keystrokes and have become 25% more efficient in typing since I don't need to spell out the whole word. Only one glitch in it, but not a deal breaker, where if you go to fast, it spells the word twice, like thisthis.

Oh, and it has the .com buttom! :)

facebook is currently down, thats why.
