Help OG Droid Battery Versus GNex

Has anyone done a comparison between the battery life of the original Droid versus the Nexus? I understand the battery is not so great, but is that comparing phones built after OG?

Thanks
Ron

I had the OG Milestone running CM 7, I'm finding the Nexus has noticeably superior battery life. The only battery-saving steps I'm taking is to turn off the wifi radio when I'm not using it. I also have the auto-brightness off and maxxed out until they fix it.

Yesterday I had the phone off the charger at 10 AM and used it frequently, I was up till 3 AM when it got down to 5%. There's no way my Milestone could have lasted that long.

I upgrade from the OG Droid to the Galaxy Nexus, and it seems like the battery lasts at least as long, and probably longer, but I don't have any actual data/proof.

My Droid was rooted, but stock ROM, and I was using set CPU to overclock to 800MHz (I believe that was the highest it could go with stock ROM), and some of my apps/games seemed to really take a toll on the battery.

The Galaxy Nexus, with its dual core processor, and more RAM, is able to run those same apps/games more easily, so I've even been able to use Set CPU to underclock it and it still runs fine.

But I also have a charger at home, at work, and in my car, so I'm not always paying attention to how long the charge lasts.

I had a nexus for about a month before returning it for the mic cutting out issue, which I'm still hoping to see resolved. Meantime it's back to the OG droid - I think the droid batt goes for longer, I usually can go about a day and a half on it, was getting maybe 15 hours out of my nexus. Although maybe I was playing with the nexus more - even after a month, still kind of had the new toy effect.

I switched from the Droid to GN. One thing you have to remember is that most people switching were coming from a 2yr old phone with a 2yr old battery. My original battery on my droid wouldn't match the GN battery life anymore. However, the replacement droid battery I bought would last me over 24hrs.

My GN battery would last me 20-24hrs depending on use.... and I am really extrapolating that since I always plug it back in after about 16 hrs with 20-35% remaining.
