Oh my gosh, it's BACK!!!

Wow, I've been using a Droid Incredible for the last two years. Every day, it's been with me. I recently lost it (or, it was lifted from my car :(). So guess what - back to the old Eris!

It doesn't take as long to boot as the DInc (XTRSense vs Business GingerSense), but otherwise, the Eris is SLOW. But, it works. Solid and reliable as ever. A new phone is not in the offing, as there are more important things to do with limited funds. So, it's onward, Eris, as my daily phone, with all the limitations of the old platform.

Long live the beloved Eris!!!

Mine's sitting about two feet away on the shelf above my monitor...:)

November 2009 and still kicking (when I turn it on, that is :p).

Oddly enough, the audio quality on the Eris is superior to the Incredible that I lost (or was stolen). Call quality is better. But with Android 2.1 and a weak computer, I miss some of the things from the Incredible. Hopefully I'll land a better job and get some money to buy a newer phone. Maybe in time for the Eris' 5th birthday. ;)

Sadly (now, not at the time) my wife and I had to turn in our Eris' to upgrade to the DInc. I don't want to go back to it, because now I think even the DInc is really slow, but I would like to pet it every now and then... :)

Everytime I try to do things on my Iphone 6 and struggle because it's too freakin big, I remember my eris.
Why couldnt they do an eris 2, eris 3, etc etc....

I'm reluctantly saying goodbye to my Eris, as it will soon go to Verizon for the $100 Droid Turbo rebate promotion. The Eris was my first smartphone, but I guess I'm more sentimental about the $100!

Well, I'm back off the Eris again. I upgraded to the Incredible 2, and the Eris is back in the drawer. I have a feeling it'll be back in service someday. It's a nice backup.
