Help Oh Noes....

Good news..... I rooted today (woohooo!!!!!!)

Bad news....did a restore of my calender and it is e-mailing out previous appointments to all of my coworkers. I cleared my Google calender and turned off sync on the phone, but if I re-enable sync, it starts sending out the appointments again. I have thousands of previous appointments that go to an average of 50 people. I work in IT, so I know I am going to get some flak for this (not in trouble, just probably won't live it down for a while).

Anybody know:

1: Can I clear the calender on the phone without syncing?
2: Why did it send these out without warning?
3: Why there are no sent items in gmail showing that it sent these appointments?

finally 4: WTF?

Thanks,

did that....but all appointments are still on my phone....you should hear the ribbing I'm getting from my iPhone using coworkers

Just a stab but you might try Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Calendar Storage. Clear data.

I haven't tried this, just an intuitive idea that may or may not have merit.

Good deal man, that would be a bit of a PIA. Now go tell your staff/contacts how there was an iphone one desk away that was evidently causing sync interference and screwing things up all along. :D
