Help OK.. Keyboard Question

Personally, I liked them also.. This hold and slide method of text navigation is kind of annoying, especially when it is hidden behins your finger...

gingerbread has the "cursor" now which takes the place of dedicated arrows. its sensitive but works quite well for me. i sometimes use the xoom stylus on the handset and it works well with it.

i use swift key also and when i DO use swiftkey i use the board with the arrows.. :p

I put the Gingerbread Keyboard from the Market on my 3VO yesterday. Couple of tricky things to do to have the phone recognize it and set it aas default, but once that was done it is working great. Just like the keyboard which comes with CM7.

man i have been in a situation where i didn't know what to really say and whilst using swift the words it was listing just fell right in line.. for a bout 4-5 words was all swifts logic.. from there i was able to finish up my thought.. :D

:D You have been assimilated. So which are you... One of Two or Two of Two??!

What did you do to get the phone to recognize it? I'm having trouble with it recognizing Handcent keyboard even though it's selected in the settings under keyboard

Have you tried doing a long press anywhere you would input text and selecting the Handcent kb from there?

Isn't it eerie how accurate the word prediction is? ;) I think it is an awesome kb... The best I've ever used.

I think I was telling novox77 in another thread about SwiftKey and how awesome it is. Seriously though, this thing is borderline psychic with how accurate the predictions are most of the time. It does a very good job of keeping track of your typing style.

I literally laughed out loud when I read the post about the person sometimes not knowing what to say and SwiftKey finds the best word. Happens to me all the time! The machines are taking over I tell you... we are becoming the Borg

I did, I actually figured it out yesterday, thank you Carrie, and guess what? The keyboard comes up in phone format, how do I change it to qwert form?

Hmmm ... odd. There should be an "abc" button or something like that on the lower left that would toggle you back to the qwerty.
