Root Okay Question for next project CM7 or CM9?

CM7

Just because you'll run into way less problems getting everything working. But you should really just port MIUI!

Oh CM9 PLEASEEEE! That would make you amazinggggg, I just installed it on my girls Captivate.... and wow it is so fast and beautiful!

I would prefer CM9, but there are a beta version of CM7 for Optimus Black (I'm a Optimus Black user). I think if you will fix the bugs in CM7, we will have a CM7 soon, since Marquee and Optimus Black are very similar.

Cm7 first then cm9. Cm7 is the greatest thing to happen to an android phone. All bugs have been fixed. Cm9 however is brand new which usually means a bunch of.problems.

cm7 gave me nothing but problems on my two phones. It could have been things the maker was trying to do and not the software itself

CWM7 for sure first. I don't think my Marquee (which is what the thread topic is based on) would handle ICS so I would be happy with a working CWM that could help customize a rom for my device. If ICS is proven to run smoothly on my device than I may change my mind. I am assuming since they released it with GB 2.3.4, It is what was most compatible. I could be wrong though. Either way BIG thanks AaronEMOBoi! Looking forward to it.

It would most definitely run smoothly. They already said this phone would get ics
If that is the case awesome, I GB doesn't run to bad but i wouldn't say "smoothly" since it can become unresponsive at times or at least not as responsive as it should be. I honestly just cannot wait for any kind of good customized roms for the phone to see if it runs better. Which I am sure it will since it will most likely remove the Carrier IQ and possibly fix some of the stuff that is kinda buggy in the stock rom. And a way to backup my stock rom will be good too. Though I know good things come to those who wait. So I will just be patient and wait for the devs to cook up something good. =).
