One Click Lag Fix actually works

Just tried it myself. Was VERY easy to do. Quandrant went from 894 to 2212! The phone also seems to be quicker and more responsive. Very cool!

Just like you would reboot your computer. Turn it off, then on again.

If you are doing this lag fix:

The lag fix will actually attemp to reboot your phone. For me, it rebooted, got to the white ATT screen, sat there for a good minute (i could hear the 3g and Galaxy S startup sounds playing), then screen went black, and a minute or two later, the unlock screen came on and all was well. Some people say they actually had to shut down, pull the batt. put it back, then restart to get it to work, I guess I got lucky.

I must be doing something wrong. When I turned the phone off and restarted, I returned to the one click lag fix app all but root device 2.1 and check for free space are disabled.

Alright I am also a definite noob. Former Iphone user (I know what an idiot right). Anyway a couple quick probably stupid questions. If I do this fix and it sets up the new partition and all if I go back will I have any loss of data. Second, does rooting void the warranty on the phone, I assume so, and if it does when we unroot is there anyway that they can tell it had been rooted. Basically I mean if I root and then something happens to my phone can I just simply undo it then take it and get it fixed without them knowing? Oh yeah and a third question what should I download to back my phone up with, probably just a preference thing but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

No and no

This is 100% reversible. rooting is technically okay cause it's all open source software. If you unroot they have no way of knowing it was rooted or not.

You'll be safe

yeah, to however i bought it. it launches with TWlauncher i think? will it, though, keep the same lag-free-ness that would come from all of this?

I personally am not an fan of twlauncher not for the lag, but for how it looks its a bit iphony looking. Some people have said it causes lag i havent really noticed any more or less lag then the other launchers

noob here also and was wondering i have the one click lag fix app and i was wondering what i needed to do next. My friend bricked his phone trying to apply the lag fix so help would be great.

You could remove the att apps and apply the market enabler so you can see all the apps in the market not just the ones att wants you to see

Since I did this lag fix, I keep having to reboot my phone when it freezes and the screen goes blank. Really annoying. Considering undoing it since I never really had any lag problems before.

ok when i do the check free space....its saying i have 236mb out of 1917mb.....am i supossed to have an external sd card or wut....guess what i want to know is where do i go to delete and get extra memory

I have this same problem! Joeup how did you fix it?

like some of the folks on here i was having major trouble getting the phone to the boot logo at the start. tried what others had said but with no luck...my only advice is to mash the volume, power and home buttons till it works. :(

here is a step by step guide for those that requested...it's on the xda thread btw. ;) One Click Lag Fix for Samsung Galaxy S (Vibrant) JJROID – Tech Talk

lightning fast phone now...love how everything in the marketplace comes up immediately now!

I'm planning on waiting until 2.2 comes out, as that will be faster than this lag fix. Removing the lag fix already messed up my phone once
