Help Only gripe about my X

Smart Keyboard Pro

It costs I think 2.99 on market but is MUCH more responsive than the stock keyboard, IMO, and is very much worth it. You can also skin it and customize the look. I had an iPhone for a few years before I got my X on launch day and I honestly missed the keyboard....this app has it. I've had a few friends with similar gripes on their phones (non-X phones) and after they tried this app, they felt the same way

I will give this a shot, i'm currently using better keyboard.
 
No problem! I know I sound like a salesman for this thing sometimes lol

I thought it was my imagination about the space bar. It does seem like it's less responsive than the other keys.
 
I tried swype out recently because my dad was actually going on and on about it...and he was jealous when he found out I had it on my phone and he couldn't get it on his (He has a Samsung Moment on Sprint).

I have to admit it was really cool but I just haven't taken the time to sit down and play with it....old fashioned texting is just what I'm used to
 
I tried swipe, and I never adapt to it... I have not noticed any issues with the Pro KB spacebar though....
 
Again, Swype is Superior... just give it a chance...use it a day or two..after that...I keep trying to find a Swype KB on my laptop!

I'm in the same boat.
I used Swype for the first month of using my Droid X, trying to like it.
It was VERY fast, but also was rather inaccurate and I was constantly pushing the random "info" button causing a pop-up, which got annoying.
After using Smart Keyboard Pro, I can EASILY say that I am texting\typing MUCH quicker...
 
Now that I use SWYPE and am pretty quick with it. I think people look silly pecking away at each letter. It can be a little frustrating when it gets words wrong. But then you just have to peck out the word like you would otherwise.
 
swype is only good in portrait. For those times I'm in landscape, I need a good qwerty. +1 for smart keyboard pro.
