Root Open rom test

Come on. Really?

Yeah, I am. I see nothing wrong with asking. If I'm gonna test this I want to know.
I do.

Did you not see all of the warnings in the first post saying that this was dangerous and experimental?

It's risky enough on Virgin, and if we don't even know how it will work on this, how would we know if it will even come close to working on that. If you want to try it, fine, but asking right now while we are in crunch mode just trying to get it working is rude.

"Sorry to bother you Mr. firefighter, I know you are still battling 30 foot flames on my house, but do you have any idea when I can go in and get my TV remote? I really need to set my DVR to record NCIS."

And people wonder why devs hate this forum.

Its wanting to download and install the "System update". Im pretty sure it wont end well if I let it try to do that.

I do.

How is it rude? I wanted to know. So I asked. I got an answer to my question as to what would happen if I tried this. There is no need for this. Seriously. If you want to argue, please take it to the PMs. Thank you.

It's rude because we are obviously busy trying to get it working at all.

You want to play with something optional, while we are struggling with basic functionality. You could have easily either tried it, or waited until we had a grip on things.

Let's stop cluttering this thread and let Leslie do her thing.

That's what I'm thinking.

Look, if I thought asking a simple question was going to cause all this, I'd have never asked. Jeez. I'll just go back to lurking. Sorry I ever said anything.

Leslie the new one boots up, and fast I might add. If you were fixing the ADB i tried to test it though I never used adb before. I issued the start-server command which worked fine but its stuck at wait-for-device

Thanks

Did it try and pull the update?

Yea same here the update is gone but the wifi is still broken, I've been trying to find the fix for that but I just keep coming up with the static IP workaround
